I am always going to find it funny the first words spoken on the moon were ungramatical! Armstrong missed out an article ("a") which means man is technically a synonym for mankind. Still iconic though.

If software on the fediverse such as lemmy and kbin are connected similar to emails, how come I cannot use kbin with my lemmy account and have to create a new one for kbin specifically? Is this just a bug, or have I misunderstood how the fediverse works?

For some reason images and logos are now showing on chrome but still not on Firefox or Edge.

The logo for startrek.website, daystrominstitute, and risa are blank for me, however other communities are working. This error is only occuring on Firefox. Is it just me or is it now working for others as well?

I would like to see things related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC, or films in general. I would also like a news community, although there might already be one.

Hi. Never been on reddit and new to Lemmy. I joined startrek.website and even though I am now looking at this community mu URL and heading say I am still on Startrek.website. Is this how instances work? Can I see any other communities or just one? How does this connect to other software like Mastodon? I'd be grateful if you could explain this to me. Sorry for my confusion: I am still getting used to this site.
