But you especially wouldn't in a dictatorship.

Why? I tried to live in a world with very little digital media and it was fine, an authoritarian dictatorship with digital media sounds like an absolute nightmare.

Not until news media starts quoting posts on Bluesky as much as, or more than, they do Xitter.

There's still the force of habit and larger engagement on Xitter for many established names.

And that's fine. Bluesky is in its last phase of proving the important point. Once all the regular journalists move away from Twitter, it will have been proven, that migration away from a defacto "standard" platform can happen, even though it's a pain in the ass.

But Ben didn't have the spine or brain to stand against Putin.

I learned recently that there is such a thing as nontheist Quakers.

I also agree with that. An example needs to be made of them, I just don't think that's the way. I'm sure something equally terrible can be thought up. There are plenty of horrifying jobs in a war, like dead orc removal and things of that nature.

Punished yes, but using the front lines as a punishment also doesn't sit right with me. Being on the front is a sucky place to be, but when one begins using it as a punishment, it feels like a short step from there to being morally ok with russian-style meat wave attacks. When it's prisoners and such, it likely easy to see them as expendable and that degrades our humanity and turns us into the enemy.
