Twitch as the platform, nothing new really. It’s bad, but it’s always been bad.

Thing is TwitchCon happened this month and it was a PR disaster, even specifically for VTubers.

The fact that the leading site in the streaming industry routinely screws its top earners while being literally owned by Amazon means they just don’t care about anything except the money (and they’re pretty bad at earning that, too).

Well… “bad timing” is an understatement.

Hopefully nothing goes wrong and they can all go on like it never happened (except maybe Twitch could understand the potential audience and get their shit together, but if they didn’t do it with Ironmouse as their top streamer I doubt this will change anything).

Twitch, the global leading live streaming service that empowers communities to create and watch together, is collaborating with hololive production to bring talents hololive fans know and love to the platform. Talents from hololive Indonesia, hololive English, and HOLOSTARS English will take over the front page of Twitch for an all-day the “holoday” celebration.

First time I see her, but based indeed.

And the stream is still up apparently, so YouTube agrees too.

(Yes, this was released today, I guess it took a bit to come out lol)

I remember reading the Myth comic some time ago and I found the middle part… a bit too dark? Also could’ve used a bit more explanation for Shiori’s character. The rest was pretty good for a fan comic though.

(And, comic aside, that Pochita Hosoinu is way too cute ;v;)

Who? Never heard of her, must’ve been a negligible situation /s

“I one-sidedly tried to close the gap between me and my favorite streamer,”

Wait… am I reading this correctly? She was sending threats to her oshi? That’s clearly someone with a very warped sense of reality and I doubt it’s related to the thought processes of the average harassing prick…

That takes a ginormous amount of money, I think Hololive is the only company that could have enough to pull that off and they're probably not interested, at least at the moment.

...BUT I think they have enough money to fund at least a different convention, they could focus on that. No need to bring more people to the mess that is (and probably will keep being) TwitchCon.

Currently, international fans purchase merchandise through cross-border e-commerce channels, but in the future, we may need to establish overseas production hubs and strategically redesign the entire supply chain.

Hopefully it doesn’t take too long for this to happen, I’d love to purchase a lot of merch but the shipping doubling the overall price makes it pretty hard to justify ;_;

Smart of her to address it now, it’s definitely a heavy topic and people asking about it on lighthearted streams (or any streams actually) might’ve created an awkward mood.

The whole post is also very motivating, I think her description of art really fits, and so does the grief metaphor.

Looking forward to whatever we’ll get to know about the making of the song, however small it might be!

For whoever didn’t get the reference, go check the Promise2U live they did some days ago (or at least the animated Get Wild intro), it’s gold.

Man, that hit me harder than I expected. I don’t know if she ever talked about gigipapa on stream, but even if she didn’t, this song was more than enough to understand the importance he had on her life.

Bless her, she’s a wonderful chaotic oddball most of the time but I love her more serious side too.

Mori Calliope isn’t just a megapopular VTuber with 2 million subscribers and a discography that goes hard—she’s also a diehard Gachiakuta manga fan who’s lowkey been fiending for this kind of opportunity. She’s a part of the crowd who liked it before its anime adaptation made it mainstream. Her upcoming Gachiakuta theme song, “Let’s Just Crash,” aims to be a sonic embodiment of Gachiakuta’s volatile rage and righteous fury, mirroring Rudo’s descent into The Pit and his fight to reclaim justice.

In our chat, Mori Calliope broke down how “Let’s Just Crash” channels Rudo’s ongoing journey as the anime’s hero, how VTubbing let her cross the line from fan to creator, and how she hopes this collab will be the first of many to come as anime and VTubbing jointly become core tenets of pop culture.

Flight reservations to Japan from some of its key tourism markets have reportedly plummeted, with some linking the fall to The Future I Saw, a Japanese graphic novel based on the “prophetic” dreams of its author, Ryo Tatsuki.

The cover of the original, published in 1999, refers to a “great disaster” occurring in March 2011 – the date Japan experienced a deadly earthquake and tsunami. In a new edition containing additional material that was published in 2021, Tatsuki said the next major disaster would occur on 5 July 2025. Her claim has fuelled sensationalist social media posts warning people to stay away from Japan.

(Though technically, since it’s gonna be prerecorded, yesterday’s zatsu was her actual last stream)

Announcement Stream for whoever missed the other post
