Ive got such a craving for space ship games which isn't satisfied by any games currently that I'm often fantasizing about resubbing my 4 eve accounts to solo nomad in wormhole space to hopefully pay for the game subscription using in game currency from wormhole life (gas harvesting, relic/data, maybe PI) and skill farming...

For those who don't know that's a huge fucking time investment, basically a second job in terms of hours per week and tediousness, so it's pretty absurd that I'm even entertaining the possibility

I love all those games (except Starfield), Infact Eve and satisfactory are among my all time top 5 games, but x4 has its flaws...

I really don't like the AI for example, and I also felt that it isn't deep enough for me, once your building stations and building ships, there's not much else to do aside from sending a fleet to destroy these guys next, which is where the kinda bad AI comes in, they suck at efficient combat and need micromanaging. The story line was ok but I wasn't that involved and it was a little boring being a lot of just fly here fly there...

That said all the other games have their flaws too obviously

I was absolutely obsessed with eve but it's a totally different game now and I don't get enough enjoyment out of it anymore (for the cost)

Satisfactory's flaw for me is just that I did everything so all that's left is build more factories across the map for resources I don't need or tear down and rebuild my current factories to make them neater and nicer looking which... Also isn't very appealing to me

Long story short, for me a new space game with similar elements to Eve and satisfactory along with perhaps the ship building aspects of Starfield (haven't tried but looked like a nice idea with garbage implementation) is more than welcome

Basically, I need to scratch that space ship game itch still and nothing is really cutting it for me anymore

My first thought is the cops can say to the prostitute (who wants to get back out to work ASAP) we will drop the charges and release you right now if you go on record/confess that you were engaged in prostitution with the John

Customer gets ratted out, cops having evidence against him in the form of the confession from the sex worker, and prostitute sent on her way...

Works the other way around too, cops tell the John (who doesn't want his family or his workplace to find out he's been arrested for soliciting a prostitute) we will let you go and drop charges if you go on record against the prostitute

Wlsex worker gets charged with the John as the prosecutor's evidence/witness and the John gets to go back to his life...

Futurama, in which Leela is a character, so both users were on the same page before your comment

No contention, just saying

Disappointing, yes I agree. Apparently, the point was to excite an audience of young beer drinkers and future scientists, rather than solve the problem though

The problem addressed here is far from fully solved, and further studies are needed.

Future investigations should consider heat transfer through the base of the glass, account for radiative heat transfer, and include the presence of foam.

Additionally, developing a criterion to obtain the global optimum for glasses across various categories is an ongoing line of research

The primary goal of this paper is to enhance the interest of students in exact sciences, particularly in Physics and Mathematics

Not working for me at all, with my photos or with the samples provided by the site

I always get a variation of the same thing:

The image shows a pattern of alternating dark green and light green vertical stripes. There is no discernible background or foreground beyond the repeating pattern itself; it's an abstract design. There are no objects or spatial depth present in the image.

The image does not depict any people, emotions, racial characteristics, ethnicity, age, economic status, or lifestyle. There are no activities taking place.

What if you make an request with BPC? They are constantly bypassing new paywalls

Well were experiencing climate change 2x as fast as other countries so I don't think that will work out, we usually don't have hurricanes at least but it's not all gravy up here

https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/news/2019/04/canadas-climate-is-warming-twice-as-fast-as-global-average.html

https://news.westernu.ca/2024/01/expert-insight-canada-is-warming-faster-than-anywhere-else-on-earth/

More info:

Canada is warming faster than the world as a whole — at more than twice the global rate — and the Canadian Arctic is warming at about three times the global rate. Due to this rapid warming, sea-ice deterioration and changes in permafrost are expected to put communities and infrastructure in the North at risk

BPC didnt work for me there either but can you just make a throwaway account and then access the content? That worked for me for that article you linked. I used a temp email service and wasnt asked to pay or anything

"I swear im really good at this when no one is watching"

Hey everyone, I'm hoping to find a self hosted and hopefully FOSS alternative to flickr for photo organization and viewing

The sharing with friends part isn't important

What we're looking for is a way to store collections of photos, organized and viewable the same way as Flickr

This person takes a ton of photos all the time but they want a place to store the best/only the highlights/their favourites, organized into albums by destination/location/vacation and most importantly easily viewable to reminisce about the good times

They used to use Flickr for this until it wasn't free anymore
