Jeg har købt to controllere og lavet en gammel pc om til en retro gaming station til ungerne. Et hit indtil videre. Dog clasher det lidt med ønsket om at de skal bruge mindre tid foran skærmen - oh well...

There is a writer who has commented on toilet designs and cultures where the Germans like to study and understand the world thus have toilets like this. Where the French are more about getting rid of waste fast and efficiently much like their love for revolution. And the English are more of a diplomatic middle ground. Can't remember his name and couldn't find him from a quick search. I'm sure you can.

I had this idea, and it's probably dumb, but hear me out and let me know what you think.

I really like movies. Streaming services are currently the best legal option to watch movies afaik, but often they don't have that specific and maybe also old movie I want to watch - even with 3 different streaming services. Then I could rent it, but paying like 8 bucks every time I want to watch a movie is too much.

If I could buy and download a free (free as in no drm or other bullshit shenanigans) digital copy of a movie for a reasonable price I would be all over that shit.

But as we all know the greedy capitalists can't keep milking the same old cashcows if the users have a permanent copy that they can potentially also distribute so that won't happen any time soon.

So my idea was what is we as a public group (movie enthusiasts) joined and made a company funded by something like gofundme or similar. The sole purpose of the company would be to buy rights to movies and hosting digital copies free to download for anyone.

Wouldn't that be something. Legal digital movies by the public for the public.

As far as I understand line-in can only be used on one speaker. I have 4 speakers in total and I want to be able to play music on either of them.

Hi,

So I recently found out that Sonos disabled the 'on this device' feature from their android app may 23rd 2023 (https://en.community.sonos.com/product-updates/on-this-device-for-android-controller-no-longer-supported-6882524) and it really screwed me as I'm the type of guy who just has some songs on my phone and plays them from there.

What can I do to get back to streaming songs from my phone to Sonos?

We have some streaming services, but I have quite a bit of songs that are not available on any streaming service.

The line-in and bluetooth options are out of the question.

The NAS server option seems interesting, but also seems to have issues with connectivity and searching and also problems with the old Sonos speaker gens (which I have ofc).

What solutions have you transitioned to? Help!
