It’s what the English call a bachelorette party apparently.

Ha they sent me the same message, and while I was not booted as a mod, I led the protest effort in a few subs that I modded in and helped out over in Save3rdPartyApps. I didn’t delete my account, just went silent after resigning when other mods got cold feet as soon as it started to get real.

The aggression in Liotta’s laugher makes it the most appropriate gif.

I feel bad for this (possibly unpaid?) actor becoming a meme. She was duped the same as all the children and parents that bought tickets to that shitshow.

Was Israel why he was cancelled? I thought it was his criticism of China.

So AM stands for “Allied Mastercomputer,” thanks. I’m unfamiliar with the story, so I didn’t realize the phrase OP quoted was the title.

Where’d you get the A from? It’s called ”Project Maven” in the article which would make it PM.

I think he may be the only person on earth that has more of a unibrow when he doesn’t even have eyebrows.

But that’s a huge downside to most people.

“No no, silly heathen. The death penalty is for sinners, and unborn babies are without sin.”

They have zero interest in capital punishment reform.

And they were comically bad:

Beyond the rim of the star-light
My love Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know he'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love, strange love a star woman teaches.
I know his journey ends never
His star trek will go on forever.
But tell him while he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me.

It looks like this was a larger decision from the lemmy development community in an attempt to eliminate karma farming. They say it’s psychologically damaging, and as someone who looks at them a lot, they may be right.

Here’s a GitHub thread discussing it where our Voyager dev weighs in:

On every lemmy app/instance I’ve checked, it seems that the post and comment scores on users’ profiles have been replaced by post and comment counts.

I often look at scores to quickly check a person’s credibility/involvement, and the count is much less helpful than the score in that regard. I could see this data maybe being removed because it was too server intensive to calculate, but maybe there’s some other reason.

I’ve searched and can’t seem to find any explanation for this change in release notes, but maybe I’m just not searching correctly. Does anyone know why this change was made?

For some reason, Mlem won’t let me comment and gives me an error each time I try.

I am signed on with my Lemmy.world username without issue and am posting this post from that account using Mlem, but I cannot comment for some reason while I have no problems commenting from other apps.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is there any other info I can provide to help track this issue?
