Yup. Buying our own and fostering our economy and development is the best way to get ahead of the curve.

We often prioritized american stuff, especially on the defense and digital products front, and thanks to our support and mass adoption they managed to refine the quality and competitiveness of those products.

It's time to prioritize and further develop our own stuff, suited to our needs.

Yes, that's excellent.. We need our own Google suite. Fingers crossed so that it may come eventually.

Do try. The more you try to split us apart the more we unite against common foes.

We Europeans might bicker a lot and not see eye to eye on some things, but our lands still bear the scars of mankind's worst moments. We know better and see right past the vain attempts at manipulation.

And yeah, we have some dumbass extreme-right parties in many countries (including mine) being heavily funded and/or encouraged by Russia and the US, just like we saw with Germany's AfD. But we're already taking measures against that sort of influence, thankfully.

Yeah... Agreed. One bad and aggressive statement often takes a whole lot of diplomacy to reconcile. And we should know, just look at Trump crashing the US soft power built over decades in a matter of weeks.

I firmly believe some MAGA somewhere is out there right now expecting a loan approval to buy the most expensive Tesla out there, not knowing an unemployment letter is already being typed out.

One can hope for such poetic justice.

Understandable. They do support Canada, but politics are usually a subtle game, and since the orangutan has less tact than caveman they do better avoiding to upset him with open and confrontational support.

Not like he's prone to notice such subtleties without someone pointing them out to him on a full powerpoint presentation anyway.

That's what happens when you give a toddler access to the nukes. Being tactful is a must, until unavoidable.

Yup. This is not just about who gets to lead Canada, it's also about who can protect it against foreign malicious interference. Now more than ever.

It's time for cohesion, both internally and with allies, not division. When the enemy is at your doorstep trying to get in, you forget petty disagreements (in comparison, at least) and stand together.

Did someone else hear a shout that sounded like "I'm not special!😭"? Down south?

Eh, must've been the wind.

What happened to the whole "let them fight each other, we don't need to be there" speech?

Probably the same that happened to all other "on day one" speeches, I assume.
