Exactly .... the world won't admit it to being a fully fascist state of affairs until the entire world is literally falling apart and people are dying by the tens of thousands or millions due to war, genocide, famine, death and destruction.

Until then, everyone will keep arguing that things aren't that bad yet

I'm Indigenous Canadian and I still have friends or new people I meet who joke with me about Native stuff, like do I know what time it is, what's the weather forecast, can I read the stars? Where are the animals? How's the fishing?

I tell them that there is a traditional way of being able to tell which way is north.

I tell them to look for the nearest satellite TV dish ... they always point south.

Obviously, this only works in the northern hemisphere ... if you are a Native person in the southern hemisphere, the dishes point north.

Hitler? ... What are you talking about? .... we need to have full blown genocidal war, concentration camps where millions are murdered every day, mass military invasions of countries, nuclear war and complete lawlessness throughout the land with people murdering, raping and mutilating each other .... anything less than that is not yet Hitler.

So stop your alarmism all the time, it's not yet Hitler.

What happens if you are the only employee or one of two employees in your company

It might not be better ... but it is certainly a lot cheaper

The only cost to an education or learning about subjects, ideas and people these days is the cost in TIME, NUTRITION AND EFFORT

Sure you can spend tens of thousands of dollars and go to university, college or whatever institution for a whole bunch of years and learn a bunch of stuff. Or you can just take the time to read a bunch of books, study them, learn from them on your own time.

I never had the opportunity to attend post secondary school ... I read, I write on my own and do things on my own. I'm not the smartest person but I've surprised my more educated friends and family in my ability to know a lot about many things. I've also traveled the world to many countries and in each country I visited, I took the time to read about it's history, read books from there and learn as much as I could about it all. I also enjoy learning about the latest technologies, so I've learned to tear apart computers, put them back together, install, uninstall, reinstall an OS and just generally play around with computer systems often. I have friends who are teachers and nurses with qualification in many things and lots of education, yet they come to me to fix their computers and they're surprised when I can talk to them about most subjects about history, politics, travel, countries, science, technology and many other things.

I hate to say it because it sounds stupid ... but having an education these days often doesn't amount to much. Unless you have a well defined goal as to what you want to do and you have a lot money, resources and support, you get to become a well rounded, educated, knowledgeable and capable individual. Otherwise, the majority of post secondary educated people I've seen are just people collected certifications and diplomas to add to a collection and don't really gain much of an education in anything valuable.

Read, read books, read all kinds of things and read often ... it's probably the biggest thing they get people to do in higher education. There is so much content out there that is freely available. Read, watch and listen to lectures that are freely available in all sorts of sites and made by actual highly educated and knowledgeable professors and professionals. Find those free resources that are vetted, recommended by people you trust.

The other part of the equation I honestly believe is nutrition. Eat properly and eat enough of the right things. My mom literally raised us on oatmeal every morning. I grew up with kids who ate sugar pops or nothing at all and the majority of them didn't end up with a good life path. Then we seldom had processed foods as mom and dad were hunters and trappers that fed us a steady diet of wild meat and especially fresh fish. We're Indigenous so a lot of our diet was from the land ... we were poor and didn't get to eat much but the food we ate was highly natural and nutritious. Eat enough good natural food, enough protein and fats, exercise, walk and train if you are young and capable and all that nutrition and blood pumping will get you to learn more, faster and retain things longer. The younger you do all this, the better it is because the older you become, the harder it is to do anything.

lol .... far into the future ... Americans will remember famous quotes and lines from presidents like JFK, Eisenhower ... even Reagan, Bush Sr, Clinton and Obama

... and all anyone will remember about this idiot is just how dumb and stupid he was and how dumb and stupid America was to put him and keep him in power.

Unless you can achieve a certain amount of force .... then you can get a stable orbit around the planet

More often than not in my lifetime .... if I see someone that is extremely happy all the time .... eventually they're going to end up extremely sad, angry or mad.

People with extreme emotions often have some really messed up things happening in their lives.

Welcome to Romanmemes!

Honestly, it's a lot of fun in there because if you aren't smiling about some silly meme, you're learning something new about Roman history.

Or how these things affect different people of different sizes, age, gender, make up and even race.

14 glasses of water for a child or even small teenager would probably be dangerous.

Large amounts of alcohol would be the same thing as it all depends on your mass weight, tolerance, how often you've been drinking (which by the way works both ways ... you could have been drinking regularly for ten years and have a strong tolerance for alcohol, or you could have been drinking regularly for 15 years and now your liver is shot and you have no more tolerance)

The thought of race and cultural background came to me because I was thinking of lactose intolerance which is culturally specific to different groups of people who historically didn't drink milk or milk products. I'm indigenous Canadian and I'm lactose intolerant and I remember being a teen and entering into a challenge with a friend who was white into drinking milk shakes. I knew I was lactose intolerant but I was a dumb kid. I think we both drank four large milkshakes and we didn't win or lose and just laughed at drinking that much milkshake. He didn't think twice about it. I went home, farted continuously for hours and felt like my stomach wanted to explode, it was actually painful. Just at the point where I was scared and wanted to go to the hospital, it got better and I got over it. Ever since then it made me think that if I had just a bit more, it would probably kill me.

I happened on a bit of TV trivia a while ago. I enjoy watching a Canadian TV Show on CBC called ‘Son of a Critch’ … great show with great writing and acting … it’s simple, holky, funny, endearing … reminds me of the 80s show ‘Wonder Years’ … and it’s all based on a family living in the 80s in Newfoundland … all things I really love and enjoy.

One of the show regulars is Malcolm McDowell … who played Soran in the Star Trek film ‘Generations’ ... I also found it amazing that someone like McDowell was co-starring in this little Canadian TV show.

In the episode ‘Old Friends, New Friends’ - Season 2 Episode 10 … one of the guest actresses was Alice Krige … who played the original Borg Queen from the Star Trek film ‘First Contact’

It was really neat to see McDowell and Krige together in the same scenes in this episode … Soran, a mad man in search of eternity and the Borg Queen in search of eternal slavery.

My wife likes watching America's Got Talent with all their highlight reels and it got me to thinking, there's a business out there making a ton of money from parents allowing their children to perform for free.

EDIT: ... changed title from 'monkeys' to 'apes' ... thanks to @Diddlydee@feddit.uk for pointing it out

Did everyone notice how this election wiped out all the previous leaders and now we're faced with being introduced to a new crowd of political leaders.

Elizabeth May with the Green Party is the only one still standing.

Star Trek: Enterprise - Season 2 Episode 23 - Regeneration

The episode starts in the 22nd Century in the Arctic .... and the first thought I had was .... WE BEAT GLOBAL WARMING!!! Because there's still ice and snow in the Arctic.

Every call I've ever had that was a wrong number, misdailed number, pocket dial or whatever that wasn't supposed to be for me turned out to be a spam call or marketing call for something. Most of the time, it was a way for me to confirm my number to some dumb marketer.

For the past year or two, I answer all mysterious calls I don't recognize and put it immediately on 'mute'. If the person calling doesn't identify themselves ... I let them hang up first and then I just block the number. If they identify themselves with some weird marketing message ... I let them hang up and then block the number.

I just lost two close relatives who were also friends today. We grew up as kids and they were about a year or two older than me. I've always been aware of death and accept it but when stuff like this happens, it's a really strong reminder of how we're all moving along in the line towards the end.
