Everything in XKCD is based on truth. That's what makes it so funny... to geeks, at least.

Edit: God damn it, he put 72 instead of 78 RPM. I guess he does make mistakes after all...

Much as I'd like more left-wing policies from Labour (or whoever!), the fact is just over 51% of thr UK population favour far right policies. Do we stick to our guns and lose the next election? Will a more radical left idealogy somehow persuade those voting for reform to vote Labour instead?

Look back to the hatchet job done on Jeremy Corbyn. He had his issues, for sure, but the right wing has spent the last decades fine tuning their political warfare. For Corbyn, it was that he supported Palestine. For Kamela, it was she didn't support Palestine. I get what you are saying, but this perfect-or-nothing attitude landed the US with Trump. And the rightnwing know the left loves to find an excuse to not vote and leverage that over and over again. If we want to stop the fascists, we need to wake up to the way we are being manipulated.

Your monthly reminder that Labour lost votes the last election and only won because Reform split the right wing vote. The country is moving solidly to the far right, along with the rest of the world. Calls to implement more radical left wing policies from Labour may mean we get the worst of all options...

It's not about where it's hosted, but what data it's been trained on. Is it's data set censored? That's an important question for those that want to use it.

Some, probably most, sign up to protect their homeland not to kill lots of people. I think such motivation would get you kicked out of some armies, in fact. No one wants a psychopath in their squad!

I wanted to try to ask it about Tianamun Square last week, but they had already blocked new users.

If I understand correctly, this sale explicitly won't include shops in stations, airports etc. The high street shops are more or less worthless in my opinion.

I think Reform genuinely love the taste of Tango fascism.

If I recall correctly, mauritius won't actually get the islands for another 50 years if the deal goes through. The islands are barely a meter above sea level.... what exactly are they even going to get? A submerged reef is not of any value or even inhabitable...

It doesn't matter for shit if you protest. What matters is votes in elections.

In response to yet another thread encouraging people to get out and protest. By all means, do that. But if you really want to make an impact, vote.

Having read the whole article, I'm not entirely sure Amanda Palmer comes out smelling of roses either - the way the last few paragraphs are written make me feel she's covering up for him, and those lyrics read like she's got it in for her.
