Being overly cautious with things is exactly their job. They deal with checking objective truth. Elon did in fact make this gesture that very closely resembles the Nazi salute is all Snopes should be saying because to say more would be making a logical conclusion but would be beyond a direct description of empirical evidence. Snopes is not intended to be a news source, it should never be giving conclusions. It is intended to be a very trustworthy fact checker.

What does Bill Gates have to do with this, he hasn't been directly involved in Microsoft in 17 years? He hasn't even been on the board for 5 years.
