I think the original wasn't getting maintained properly or something. There was a big conversation about it a couple of months ago on one of the open source communities here if you want to search for it. Nothing shady iirc.

Man it's not even just housing - pretty much everything that's already teetering on the edge like water, transport, NHS, the National Grid, agriculture etc. is going to get clobbered. Bad timing for the UK.

I agree. I think the government will pay out though, because they are so wedded to the idea of private investment and want to get patted on the head by the City.

The one thing that would turn around Labour's abysmal polling is to grow a pair and stop bending over for capital and tyrants. They won't do it though. Sad times for the nation.

"Why wait until you leave office to openly work for us? Now you can do it straight away!"

It's great. It's the most "just works" experience I've had with Linux.

I think everyone should have access to their own garden or allotment. Allotments have an added social side which is great.

This has made Rupert Lowe look very silly.

If you're struggling with your windows plugins I highly recommend checking out kxstudio for native Linux ones. There are excellent plugins for audio production on linux. I also recommend using Ardour as your DAW.

Thanks :) I'm happy to chat to any musicians who read this and are curious about alternative release options.

These exploitation economies are a race to the bottom.

That's exactly what they are and exactly what they do.

I don't have any app suggestions for you but have been reading through the comments and just wanted to say that I'm 100% with you.

I have a similar conversation with other musicians I know and it's the reason that I (and many others) won't release anything on Spotify: Just being there adds value to them and what they do is destructive and dirty.

I hope you find something and keep standing up for what's right!

The Labour government is not left, so who is the supposed rift with?

In fact, from what I can tell, all the talk is about cooperation with the Greens, independents, unions and community groups. Bringing the left together.

I haven't heard any of this 'splitting the left' talk from leftwing backbenchers - only from Labour leadership goons and the right - which I think tells you everything you need to know about the message.

Over the next few years we're going to have to be better than we were in 2019 at seeing this kind of FUD for what it is or we'll get Farage as the next prime minister.

And we won't get another chance to do something about it until 2034.
