My head immediately went to tell tale heart.

Poe had lots of fucked up stories. The red death is another that stuck with me.

I would throw mud on his car every time i saw him until he paid up.

Turns out "teaching someone a lesson" can go both ways.

Based on reporting, it looks like the BLS didn't have the staff to do the legwork anymore after the purge of the federal government, so they used various models to "guesstimate" the totals for May/June.

"Saving gaza from obesity" was literally one of the pro-Israel talking points a few months ago from a UK lobbyist to justify Israel use of famine as a weapon.

Pricing seems to be 10x cheaper than lithium per kWh.

The battery has no rare earth metal in it, just common iron, which dramatically reduces cost. The 100hr storage is also 10-20x what lithium is designed for. Downsides appear to be slow charge/discharge and size of the batteries.

It is most likely a hybrid "iron air for long term storage, lithium for spikes and fluctuations" grid battery makes the most sense. These combo setups wouls likely have drastivally better long term storage and pricing then the current norm of "just Lithium."

There is more info about them in this article about another company in the space called Form energy.

Hilton was also kidnapped and shipped off to several "scared straight" torture camps by her family as a teenager..

She had some horrible shit done to her, and apprently vowed to make her own money separate from her family. The vapid, "that's hot" party girl persona was her succeeding.

Shes come out hard against what happened to her and tries to help current victims. She managed to get legislation passed to help them, but also takes a more direct approach.

I've never heard that pointer bullshit at all. Can you link it?

"Man" for "manual" is just an antiquated term kept around by Unix curmudgeons. "Help" is much better as it requires no explanation and conveniently is automatically abbreviated to its full name. It's the common term used in most other systems that aren't linux.

'Man" isn't sexist, it just sucks.

Yes, we've had first master branch, but what about second master branch?

The supreme court cooked these books in 2000. Gore won then, but since he conceded and pushed for the wrong Florida recount, the 5-4 GOP supreme court ruled that Bush was the lawful president.

Now the supreme court is 6-3 GOP, with most of the same conservatives, and Harris conceded much larger margins than Gore, it literally wont change anything.

Stamers conditions are more complicated than that. Most are in the article i linked. Hes demanding a two state solution and a lot of concessions from Israel when they are likely to meet none of them.

The UK has basically committed to recognizing Palenstine as a state.

Your gmail notification point doesn't track, but its the most minimal point so i'll drop it.

I dont think Substack is specially just a Nazi platform. I think they are Capitalists that will use any kind of speech to make money. While bootstrapping, they found a niche in leftist independent journalism. Now, they view far right hate as profitable, both directly with Nazi commentors and being paid large sums to enshittify the platform from far right figures.

They dont care about racism or hate because they are rich and it makes them money. That does make them bad people, no matter how many leftists they also profit from.

I absolutely expect they will follow a Twitter style path from here on out, with or without Musk at the helm. Once you let the Nazi's into the bar, they take over by driving everyone else out. Substack has said "come on in!" so they will. Some leftist will remain for a while, but eventually the Nazis will be all that's left.

I expect you make some kind of living off Substack? Maybe look into Ghost as an option. They take way, way less money even when fully hosted.
