The European Union imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia worth around €4.48 billion ($5.2 billion) in the first half of 2025, up from €3.47 billion over the same period last year, according to EU statistics agency Eurostat on Monday.

That is shocking. 😠

Windows 8.1 was released in 2013, so yeah, a blast from the past!

The Punic Wars were another step in the endless grinding of the Romans against every region bordering their territories. Yes both Carthage and atomen were expanding into each other's sphere of influence, but I don't agree that either side considered it a struggle for ultimate power.

Rome was never a democracy. Rome didn't have a single war that made it hegemonic. Sorry this account is just fiction.

In a society where women are often harassed, many women use bathrooms to escape men, even if just for a few moments of peace.

In the fine article people were at the home of their representative.

Across the street was the house of Rep. Carol Miller, R-W.Va. The imposing brick home was darkened, the curtains were drawn. No car was visible in the driveway. But for the assembled, it was a last ditch effort to get some kind of attention from the Congresswoman.

I don't think this is true, although maybe in some places.

For example, the more gas a business uses in the Netherlands, the less they generally pay per unit. This is terrible for our carbon footprint, where we basically subsidize the worst emitters. 😟
