The same director went on to direct Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, and Promare. None of them are as wild as Dead Leaves, but all are top tier anime. He's one of my favourite directors, and knows how to balance comedy, action and art perfectly.

I got stuck on a theme 😅
Played through the entire game, started on NG+. I really enjoyed it, the story was definitely a Final Fantasy story, much better than XV.
My one gripe is the lack of mini-games, which apparently was intentional on the part of the devs. All side content is still combat focused.
You can get through most of the game not truly mastering combat, but NG+ is a different story. Overall, a solid 8/10 game.
You know what you can do with your hand cream, jerk-off!
Nier Automata for its complex merging of storytelling and game mechanics, kickass soundtrack, and fun gameplay. The camera leaves a little to be desired, but still a game that has stuck with me years after finishing it.
Gonna get the game when it comes out on PS5, and I'm so gonna be a deli monk 😁
Al Gore made so many appearances because his daughter was on staff as a writer.
Another vote for Edith Finch, the ending made me bawl like a baby. Great storytelling, each level doesn't overstay it's welcome, its funny and emotional throughout, but the ending really hit me in the feels.
7th Continent is a "choose your own adventure" style game, where you explore a continent through a map of cards that expand as you play. It has a way of saving your progress, as it's quite a long game. It's pretty hefty as well, with hundreds of cards. I got it through Kickstarter, and it's decent. They're finalising the sequel this year, which I also backed.
Literally just saw it, had a lot of fun, and my cynical boyfriend also enjoyed it. The "it's impossible to be a woman" rant was perfect, even in this gay boy's view. And "I'm just Ken" is an absolute banger, listening to it on repeat. Ryan Gosling is a treasure. Margot, you're as great as ever, well done with this, I read about how much of yourself you put into this movie and it shows.
Enjoy, they're all wild rides.
