Researchers from the University of Waterloo have found a way to reduce the energy use of some data centres - by approximately 30 lines – that would improve Linux’s network traffic processing. If adopted, the new method could reduce the energy consumption of important data centre operations by as much as 30 per cent

It also happens in Asia, I can say that some of them are similar to what you said. In my country, many young people have a hard time finding a job even if they are university graduates. Necessities is getting more expensive.

There are also many people and households who are trapped in huge debts from online loans.

Many small businesses stuck or fail, only the business of the oligarchs can survive. and their business destroys small businesses and harms the people.

I would like to try Solus along with other Linux, unfortunately Solus uses systemd-boot rather than GRUB. 😔😔

The whole separation between APT and snap packages doesn't work well together and is really the big problem I have, as a lot of standard deb packages just refuse to install properly now.

since you are mention deb packages, I would consider these

  • Linux Mint
  • PopOS
  • Rhino Linux (somekind of rolling release distro based on ubuntu)
  • LMDE

Other alternatives that work on Linux as well as Windows (I haven't tried it on windows)

https://github.com/bol-van/zapret

I use GoodbyeDPI and Zapret with dnscrypt-proxy, it works perfectly

M$ is like a boyfriend - you tell him "No, don't touch me there!"

and an hour later his hands are wandering the same direction again..

That's M$ intention, to hide some settings from users and lose control of Windows.

They want to create some hype and look cool by using AI chatbots. And most normies don't care about privacy and the dangers of AI in the future, they only care about "wow I can use AI for bla.. bla.."

But they have no idea, that one day AI could take over their jobs.. and rich people like Sam Altman are getting richer, and he only pays you with ~~UBI money~~ some pieces of computing

Also, AI companies aim for government contracts and medium / big corpos.
