How mature. Great rebuttal.

All you're doing is saying "I don't care if you start doing the right thing."

If you give them nothing to value from changing then they won't. Congrats on the own goal.

Way too much for me to care. I admit gnome isn't perfect but I'll still argue it's far more consistent than KDE.

Yep. Ugly, disjointed in appearance, etc. I set up Debian KDE for a family member moving from windows so it fits. I was impressed that KDE came far from what it was but it very much is like a bucket of bolts to me.

Gnome in contrast is very put together. Yes, has some quirks but appearance wise is very curated IMO.

Having visited Munich I don't doubt your frustration but by god I'd kill to have that public transport. You even had a lot of bike lanes.

We still play it to this day. Amazing multiplayer.

The single player campaign was also pretty fun.

I think most users wouldn't care about qt vs GTK.

I will say- zorin is solid. It's very, very close to that windows look and feel which would make that transition easier. I think that, KDE Debian, mint, fedora (to some extent) are all great transition distros. But zorin absolutely mimics the feel of windows the best (not my cup of tea personally but I'm not the target demo.)

Let's not give them all the credit. All the dumbass nonvoters deserve their fair share of responsibility too.

I wonder if your response would fly in that thread.

I'm guessing not.

I was fine with the original. Didn't mind the bulky nature as it had the jack. I now have basically no desire to get the successor. Downgrade in a lot of ways. And the only reason I didn't buy the original was it didn't yet have support for MMS for my telco.

Maybe another model or rerun of the original will bring me back.

Media isn't owned by people sympathetic to Democratic talking points.

Doesn't matter what your message is if no one plays it.

Go Muskies!

It's delicious fyi

Anyone else hate this? I don't want a dumbed down bar. If Im on the homepage, I want to know. Same as if I'm on a subpage.

This is in reference to Mozilla changing the URL to ALWAYS show only the domain. Absolutely terrible IMO. As for the double tall menu now? That is mostly fine.

At least give me an option to see the full url.

Unsure if this is the place to ask or not but figured it was closest to it.

Basically I am looking to make an AIO retro gaming PC. Main goal is to have one simple box hooked up to the TV so my friends and I can game without having to swap discs and consoles all the time. Would probably use mostly DS3 (or 4?) controllers hooked up with USB or via BT.

I know lemmy doesn't much care about piracy but this is all just to play games/consoles we legally own. Would include PS1-3, Nintendo, SNES, N64, Gamecube (think that is all we have).

I think https://batocera.org/ has been mentioned, Lakka (maybe this is more for pis?), and EmuDeck has been mentioned. Basically looking for the easiest distro to throw on a PC with a nice UI (can be launched via kb/mouse, all the same to me) that has the emulators built in and just needs the ROMs.

Link on the bottom if you wish to try out the new VPP addon.
