That’s a fair question. I guess I just hope (and do what I can) for a better future

Appreciate the transparency

I’ve heard it said that Walt was an antisemite, so I looked it up to confirm. According to an article in jewishpress.com the evidence that Walt was really an antisemite is weak but the MPA of the time had more things of concern.. That same article goes on to equate anti-Israel with antisemitism so I doubt they’d give Walt any benefit of a doubt.

I’m not on Twitter, but I hear getting exposure to actual vile antisemitism happens quite fast.

I cannot wait for us to be past this “any criticism of Israel is antisemitism” and the US funding a genocide phase.

In case you missed it from a few years ago. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Did_That!

That would get my vote.

Mandela Effect is a thing. The impulse to verify your understanding is a good thing, in contrast with people so stubborn they’d rather double down than admit they could be wrong.

Hopefully the pheromone treatment works and is an enduring fix. Incredible that only ~20% of the trees remain in MN after ~20 years.

It doesn’t sync between services, but last.fm can be your tracking source and connects to both Spotify (when I had it.. assuming still true) and Tidal (ways to track Bandcamp and other streaming too).

I have to wait for the full calendar year to pass in last.fm, but I get more interesting stats than what I remember from wrapped.

Hope the investigation is able to uncover what happened so other facilities (and this one, assuming it is restored) can prevent another event like this.

That said.. what are the chances there were already sufficient preventative measures available and they were misapplied or simply not done?

Not a diagnosis, but sounds like depression.

Perhaps counter intuitively, exercise (get that heart rate up and sweat exercise) has always been the most effective for me. Managed my depression for ~25 years that way, such that I only have occasional (temporary) bouts of ennui.

I’d keep up with the touching grass too.
