Disaffected, alienated, hostile come to mind

It's cult tactics cynical manipulators in those unmoderated spaces use to indoctrinate young adults and kids to exploit and groom. They target kids who don't have defenses to their tactics yet, either their education didn't yet include how to critically evaluate evidence & propositions or they just weren't mentally ready for that responsibility before engaging with predators. They want to seem edgy and offer truths on topics the kids' parents or teachers may not be willing to engage with to draw them in to appear like they have some knowledge or power to offer other than just hate and anger.

That can sometimes be an outcome of a moral choice after accepting nihilism (what are ethics beyond or without objective meanings?), but there's nothing necessarily relating desires for chaos and destruction to subjectivism and nihilism. Some nihilists are all about order and building so the reason they gave is bogus. They just feel the word has negative connotations so they used it without understanding what it means. It would be like saying they are jaywalkers who just want to watch the world burn. Some of them may be jaywalkers, but it's not the motivation for them being there or necessary for them being there in those spaces.

Glad to see ffmpeg is still going strong, I used it years ago to do some project 1999 EverQuest streaming on twitch running on a Manjaro dist install running EQ in wine.

I use dns ad blocking so some of the cookies popups from the same host show up. This site either wants you to subscribe or accept ads and sending cookie trackers to advertisers, sure I could accept and assume my browser will successful block the third party cookies, but I don't consent so I won't accept.

Can't read the article without accepting sending cookies to thousands of companies. The only time I can remember having to restart was god of war 2, I was playing on hard and there was a boss I couldn't beat after about a week of multiple gaming sessions. It wouldn't let you charge difficulty on the fly so I had to restart the game on medium.

I've beaten dark souls 3, most of elden ring and the first dlc, Bloodborne, play fighting games, etc. I also like point and click adventure games with little or no control challenges that focus mostly on plot and character development through story events.

I'm okay with some games not catering to everyone as long as they are transparent about it, just like I wouldn't expect white knuckle challenges that take practice and fast reactions from a cozy comfort game like animal crossing.

There's no good single source but this seems like a good starting point

And the site they frequently cite, https://www.whoprofits.org/

Curious when the last time business insider quoted a labor leader without a CEO or capitalist shill quoted in the same article. A US private equity group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) acquired a majority share in the parent corp in 2020. They're also selling ads for development in the west bank under yad2 https://www.business-humanrights.org/en/latest-news/germany-media-giant-axel-springer-advertises-israels-illegal-settlements-in-the-west-bank-through-its-classified-ads-website-yad2-incl-co-comment/

I enjoy more arcade style racing games so over the last few years the ones I enjoyed the most were burnout paradise and the remake, trackmania, and forza horizon 4 and 5

I played some tourneys through CAL in counterstrike a long time ago and there was some tough competition on the amateur side. The pros were on another level from most amateur teams but a few of the amateur teams could still give them some competition.

Abbott is a piece of shit who pardoned a white supremacist convicted murderer for political gain, probably has ties to the kkk.

Google already changed logged out YouTube to a single row of recommendations and a button to login on roku and Android shield when it used to look like the logged in version just a couple weeks ago. Probably the kick I needed to get off, mostly just using it for a couple smaller call-in/debate streamers I can switch to a podcast or other version.
