I will never buy American milk. Ever.
It has nothing to do with price, and everything to do with the US allowing the injection of growth hormones in Dairy cows which are banned in Canada.
Sure, but you have to buy it in a bag.
(Stay strong, Canada, we deserve it.)
We have the regular cartons too. The bags are for the family pack. Do Americans have a large family pack that's like three cartons stuck together?
Not really. It's plastic gallon jugs.
Those are great for road trips.
As a lactose intolerant person, I'm horrified, lol.
Not sure they meant taking the fluids out of the container, friend
Oh yeah. Forgot about those.
Yes at Costco.
I will never buy milk. Because I am lactose intolerant.
Lactose-free milk is a thing, in case you’ve never heard of it.
I’d stay away from most of our poultry too.
Which brands are Canadian? I've never paid attention before.
All of them, we don't import milk in any sort of grocery store quantity.
Is it true that American milk is normally UHT milk?
No I generally have to seek out UHT milk if needed.
From what I have seen (am American and lived outside DC and in a rural town in New Mexico) mostly the UHT milk is the organic stuff as well as most of our cream, which makes cheese making with cream impossible.
I'm not actually sure, but the milk I buy isn't and most milk I've seen doesn't seem to be given they expire in days so I'm guessing not. Nutritionally, it doesn't matter but it does impact the taste at the cost of lasting a long time and I have tasted bad milk before from the big box stores.
