Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

His confusion has got to be completely feigned. I can't imagine even a billionaire doesn't understand what firing thousands of people does to their lives.

Either way there's no sympathy here. Bitch could've solved world hunger if he thought of anyone else for a single moment that wasn't for a press release.

Musk: "The fundamental weakness of Western civilization is empathy. The empathy exploit. They're exploiting a bug in Western civilization, which is the empathy response."

I can easily imagine him thinking "I'm not directly hurting them, I'm only hurting other people. Why are they overreacting when they're not the ones being hurt? Don't they see that by hurting these nig... Nigerians, I'm helping them?"

He's right that nothing he has done has hurt me directly. But, I have that fundamental weakness of empathy, so the fact that he's hurting so many other people means that I think the world would be better off if he were dead.

He said he would, and then bought Twitter instead.

Fuck this guy man

He said he would, and then bought Twitter instead

Bought it after getting sent the plan he specifically asked for that projected costs less then 1/7th of what he paid to get his own personal circle-jerk echochamber.

Can you send me something showing the person who did the math? I've got a friend who was all up Elons ass two years ago and used this as one of his "he's such a genuine and nice guy! Nobody even was able to answer his question" points.

I feel like it's going understated that his dismantling of USAID has also directly led to deaths by starvation and preventable disease. Like yeh it sucks that Dave lost his job, but let's not forget the actual fucking murder happening.

Either way there's no sympathy here.

Elon complained that empathy is a big problem with Western Society, he wouldn't want you to feel sympathy anyway.

It's one banana, Michael. What could it cost, $10?

I mean he is hopped up on several drugs at all times.

I can't imagine even a billionaire doesn't understand what firing thousands of people does to their lives.

He probably doesn't really
