  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

JD Vance attempted a charm offensive on Tuesday, and failed with the charm while succeeding in being offensive.

It happened during an announcement that former Donald Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani’s son, Andrew Giuliani, would be leading a task force for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico next year.

Rather than stoke excitement for a global event that could be a tourism cash cow for North America, Vance decided to take a different approach — and joked about deporting the potential thousands of tourists visiting the U.S. for the occasion.

Dear Foreigner,

If you are coming to the US for the world cup you are fucking stupid. You're going to spend thousands of your preferred currency to get harassed by Customs and if you fuck up and get arrested for whatever little thing the police that stops you has up his ass that day you run the risk of ending up in South America or Africa but not the part you are from, in a jail somewhere getting fucked.

Unless you are white, if you're white come on over, have a beer. Remember, though, even if you are Spanish, Italian, Greek, or any of those other darkies you gay commie Europeans call white, you are going to get lumped in with the Mexicans, especially if you speak Mexican or eye tie.

Fuck you, countries full,

XOXO JD 😘 🛋😘 Vance XOXO

Look everyone knows Germany is just full of immigrants and Muslims so of course they got stopped especially those that come and go from Mexico. Nothing but illegals and fentanyl come out of Mexico.

People willingly went to Qatar for the World Cup. Sports fans are fucking dumb and/or don't give a shit about anything as long as they can see their team play and win. And for those that don't know or forgot, Qatar killed thousands of workers violating human rights and basic safety when building all their stadiums.

Right, but Qatar committed to treating those tourists as guests, and as far as I know, did exactly that, even easing some of their morality laws for the visitors. Attending the Qatar World Cup was unethical, but not stupidly self-endangering. Attending the World Cup in the US under the current situation is stupidly self-endangering, especially if you aren't "white", but also sometimes even then.

Nah we'll arrest random whites too.

Jasmine Mooney was locked up for 11 days, no method of reaching out to the outside world.

She overstayed a prior visa. They will go after white people with any red flags.

I would advise non American white people to stay away though. The current American administration wants to crush your economies and doesn't give a shit about you. How could you justify spending your money there now?

For all people outside the US please take a close look at your subscriptions. Amazon, Netflix, Uber, YouTube, HBO etc. That is all money being funelled into the US. Please also think about where you spend your attention. Looking at Instagram everyday pumps ad revenue into Meta. America has a massive trade surplus with the world when it comes to services. A deliberate effort to unsubscribe from these services would send message.

I'm not saying cut yourself off from the world... But weigh your options.

And any tattoo can and will be interpreted as a gang affiliation. No matter the mental gymnastics required.

[–] Alaik@lemmy.zip 3 points 19 hours ago

Or just photoshop them on poorly like it's 1998 and say you had them.

[–] SarcasticMan@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

Only sailors and gang members get visible tattoos and I don't see no boat.

[–] manxu@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (2 children)

And don't forget that photoshopped tattoos count!

[–] ours@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Poorly photoshopped "tattoos".

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

That wasn't even Photoshop! That was MS Paint.
