Joe Biden is the worst US president in history.

CJMusic Jul 6, 2024:

It would appear that, in light of Biden failing and floundering, the Dems sent their minions out to foment panic about Project 2025. It won't work.

CJMusic May 1, 2025:

I regret voting for Trump.

My husband is laid off and can't find a job and my kids' credit scores have tanked bc of his student loan policy.

This is not what I voted for.

I mean, we're getting for it regardless of who we voted for. That's the magic of singular senior executive in a three-branch government where the executive branch has functional dictatorship of the bureaucracy.

If Harris had won (perhaps by not pissing off big chunks of the Midwestern Arab population by repeatedly endorsing the genocide of their families) then she'd have been spared the indignity of getting what she asked for. But the wind was with the Republicans, so now we all get to hang out in the crumbling dystopian hell-hole together.

If those Arabs thought that trump would in any way reduce the genocide, well... I will point them to the image above.

That's kind of hilarious that you think that, sad but hilarious

Or perhaps by the Democrats taking economic inequality seriously and actually moving the needle on helping the working class.

[–] Obelix@feddit.org 9 points 1 day ago

That still is no excuse for voting for Trump.

[–] Tja@programming.dev 6 points 1 day ago

Like passing a first Healthcare bill? Forgiving student loans? Etc, etc...

but my insider trading! But my super PACs!

[–] reiterationstation@lemm.ee 3 points 1 day ago

This is the real truth.

Well those midwestern Arabs can celebrate the… genocide of their families and themselves when they are deported right out of the country.

Not sure how this shit is any fucking different from the vast amount of killing we all support paying taxes to the us government. Of this killing is bad… ignore the killing over here, and here, and here, AND OH LOOK NOW IT’S HERE AT HOME!

Honestly sometimes I think right wingers have a fucking point about immigration if they are going to come here and vote away my fucking rights while caring more for a foreign country than the one they claim they want to live in they can get the fuck out then.

Jesus christ... whatever argument you are attempting to make about voting outcomes can you not get xenophobic and racist about it?

Also what kind of a fucking argument is it that like. They should've taken your side when your side was committing genocide in their homeland against their people and their culture, but now that its your culture facing a fascist uprising (note, not yet a genocidal invasion of extermination unlike the ongoing genocide in Gaza) and political violence suddenly its very important that everyone put your cultures needs first. Like its whatever to you if Palestine is erased from history and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are brutalized, to you its just an annoyance a political nuisance. But when its your culture facing COMPARATIVELY mild acts of political violence all of a sudden its extremely important that it be recognized by all and everyone should be setting their principles aside for it. Your response to this entire situation is to call for further violence against Palestinians.

This is one of the most reprehensible comments I've read on this platform. I don't think it matters at all if you're from a specific marginalized community who is uniquely facing violence under the Trump administration. That doesn't mean that you get free reign to call for violence against a minority group of people who already face institutional political violence in the US and who also are living in a country that has been actively engaging in the current genocide of their people in their homeland since 2023. You are also calling for acts of violence against an entire community of people for the political choices a few of them made. This is absolutely disgusting behavior. There's no justification for this.

can you not get xenophobic and racist about it?

They can't, no.

This is the root of the problem. Liberals are just as xenophobic and anti-Islam as their conservative peers. They are ultimately fine with Trump's policies and more than willing to go along with them, when the policies target brown people.

That's why you've got Gavin Newsom, Kathy Hochul, and even Gretchen Whitmer opening their state bureaucracies up to Trump's DHS gestapo.

The "you stupid Arabs deserve what you get" rhetoric is justification for policy Democrats wanted, but were too squeemish to impose directly.

Republicans are the sword and Democrats are the shield in this Holy War on non-Christians.
