The US and Europe printed trillions during covid, and that barely caused a blip in inflation. Inflation only came after supply chains shock and the war. Like do some basic research, if I’m so obviously wrong it will be very easy to see…:

I still remember 2020 and 2022, it's not that long ago. So Covid started to hit the US in spring 2020. And take a look at inflation rates:

Yeah, it took some time, but you really can't deny that there was "barely a blip in inflation" and that it came only after the war started.

But pushing for more renewables can also be a way to stop fascism. Those texan oil barons are funding Trump exactly because they want to keep their business. Putin is funding all those right wing parties because he wants to keep selling gas. And the Saudis, Qataris and other dictators are also not to keen on not selling oil and gas.

I'm sceptical. Even if somebody would present a working fusion reactor today, what would the timeline to replace everything based on fossil fuels even be? Build several thousand of expensive fusion reactors in every country of the world, even in geopolitical rivals like China, Russia or North Korea or war-torn third world countries? Replace every car with an electrical one? Replace home heating everywhere? Rebuild every ship and airplane worldwide?

Seeding is something to help your fellow pirates. You donate your bandwidth to help them get their files. It's totally in character for meta to just leech everything, take stuff, not give back anything and then to run to the bank laughing

They are getting downvoted, because they are obviously wrong. Of course the government is "creating" the money. But it can't just print money and spend it. Countless governments tried it and it always led to hyperinflation - and therefore the budget of course has to come from taxes

For everybody, who hasn't that much of paperwork: I'm kind of doing the same, but without barcode stickers. Just scan the document into paperless and then stick it in a box or a folder. If you need the physical document sometimes in the future (which you won't), paperless of course has the date of the scan / date of the document available. It then it quite easy to take your chronolocical sorted documents and find the one that came in on 2023-04-14

Which is kind of crazy, if you think about it: The federal budget is coming from taxes. So the deal is that Trump is destroying valuable services of federal institutions and only 20% of the "savings" are getting passed on? While normal people will have to pay for stuff like the weather forecast?

That screenshot is so old, it predates the Musk takeover

The hidden connection is "the same owners" and "the same company financing operations". Even if there were no data connections, the sheer amount of money Facebook can shovel into it's other enterprises would be anticompetitive. So a little bit of regulation would go a long way

It is nostalgia. As the article correctly describes: If you just want your physical copy, the humble Audio CD is where it's at. Every other audio format is worse. I also collect vinyls, but that really is not about the audio quality and if they weren't so unspectacular, collecting CDs would make more sense
