They’re primarily comparing Target’s YoY foot traffic with itself.
The Costco comparison six paragraphs in is just added color for the article.
Ok. The economy is garbage. People have the lowest level of economic confidence in decades. No shit foot traffic in retail is down. The Costco comparison adds nothing

Your argument falls flat on its face.
I mean even the article itself says correlation isn’t causation so I think it’s a bit more nuanced than that.
I am curious why Jeff thinks Costco is immune from the economic uncertainty.
Ok bud. Since you think correlation is causation, why did all the other companies that cancelled DEI programs and were subject to the exact same protest not suffer?
And why did Wal-Mart, a direct Target competitor, suffer equally to Target?
