I wish the left could have gotten its shit together last November.

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The Democratic party's leadership makes that much more difficult than it needs to be and they will keep blowing winnable elections for the rest of us until they are removed from power

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 6 points 1 week ago

The Democratic party isn't the left.

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What does the left have to do with it?

Instead of taking responsibility for how fucking dumb the average American is, they’ll rather blame one side for everything.

“The left didn’t get their shit together, I’m voting for the right!”

Even if they know the extreme right leaning fascist Republican Party will fuck over everyone who isn’t white, straight, male and rich. How insanely evil and/or dumb do you have to be to think like that?

77 million fucktards still voted against their best interests

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sadly, they were under siege from the "Vote Blue No Matter Who" brigades and could not bring their full force to bare.

point me to a candidate that didn't promote genocide?

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

De La Cruz? And the Democrats sued and won to keep her off the ballots in swing states.

DNC = controlled opposition. Just like they are having a meltdown over Mamdani.

Wish I could come up with a clever initialization for "DNC".

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Don't know why centrists have to gloat that they made sure we couldn't vote for an anti-genocide candidate.

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml -3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

They did and they didn't vote for genocide.

[–] Captainvaqina@sh.itjust.works -3 points 1 week ago (3 children)

And just look what that protest vote did for those fucking morons. Now the USA is full mask-off fascist. Good job.

At least 75 million people disagree with that assessment.

So you have no plans to support the Democratic party at all, and would only consider a national third party in extremely specific circumstances. I’m assuming you’re a US voter (ha), but sometimes that’s not the case.

full mask-off vs mask on ....

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

If their votes were that significant, your garbage party should have listened to them and stopped selling weapons for genocide. Hell, they could have placed conditions on weapons sales. But nope! Had to show those anti-genocide progressives who is boss. Of the pretend opposition party.
