RULES:

I am looking for mods!

1. The "good" part of our community means we are pro-empathy and anti-harassment. However, we don't intend to make this a "safe space" where everyone has to be a saint. Sh*t happens, and life is messy. That's why we get things off our chests.

2. Bigotry is not allowed. That includes racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and religiophobia. (If you want to vent about religion, that's fine; but religion is not inherently evil.)

3. Frustrated, venting, or angry posts are still welcome.

4. Posts and comments that bait, threaten, or incite harassment are not allowed.

5. If anyone offers mental, medical, or professional advice here, please remember to take it with a grain of salt. Seek out real professionals if needed.

6. Please put NSFW behind NSFW tags.

By 2030, 45% of prime working age women in the US, defined as women aged between 25 and 44, will be single according to Census Bureau historical data and Morgan Stanley forecasts – the largest share in history.

Hundreds of those women, from across the US, shared with the Guardian why they were single, how they felt about it and what they would be looking for in a future partner if they were still in the market for one.

“I hated being single after my last relationship broke down,” said Sarah, 43, a sales representative from California. “I miss having someone to cook for, to share things with. But now, my motto is: ‘My alone feels so good, I’ll only have you if your presence is sweeter than my solitude.’

Your single anecdotal evidence is just that - an anecdote and a single (possible outlier?) data point. Extremely large numbers of people have understood for a long time that empathy and compromise are foundational to healthy human connection.

Best of luck to you

Are you actually this willfully ignorant of what I am saying? Maybe you should read what was written and not what you expected to find.

This comment makes very little sense to me. Best of luck to you

I'm suggesting you should be angry at your language arts teacher because I have at no point said that empathy and compromise are not needed in a healthy relationship as you have insinuated. In fact, I stated directly that they were needed.

I also stated that when men show emotional vulnerability women tend to be disgusted by us daring to show emotions.

I'm saying the biggest supporters of toxic masculinity are women

Maybe you should talk to more men if you think this is ancidotal

Didn't you know? Lived experience is only valid if you're a woman.
