I swear to god I've seen articles about the baltic states cutting the soviet electric network every month at least.
It's a long process initiated during presidency of Dalia Grybauskaitė that required cooperation by all 3 baltic states. A lot of work was done preparing for network stability and resilience from outside actors (Russia). That is why so much news covering this.
Interesting, this is right up my alley and I'm only hearing about it now
