Community Rules

You must post before you leave

Be nice. Assume others have good intent (within reason).

Block or ignore posts, comments, and users that irritate you in some way rather than engaging. Report if they are actually breaking community rules.

Use content warnings and/or mark as NSFW when appropriate. Most posts with content warnings likely need to be marked NSFW.

Most 196 posts are memes, shitposts, cute images, or even just recent things that happened, etc. There is no real theme, but try to avoid posts that are very inflammatory, offensive, very low quality, or very "off topic".

Bigotry is not allowed, this includes (but is not limited to): Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Sexism, Abelism, Classism, or discrimination based on things like Ethnicity, Nationality, Language, or Religion.

Avoid shilling for corporations, posting advertisements, or promoting exploitation of workers.

Proselytization, support, or defense of authoritarianism is not welcome. This includes but is not limited to: imperialism, nationalism, genocide denial, ethnic or racial supremacy, fascism, Nazism, Marxism-Leninism, Maoism, etc.

Avoid AI generated content.

Avoid misinformation.

Avoid incomprehensible posts.

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.

Have you seen this old show? Season 1, 2, 3, 9 and 12 is available on streaming service 1, the rest on streaming service 2, except season 7 and half of season 11 which are on service 3 and the rest of season 11 is unfortunately not available anywhere.

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

Also episodes 4,5 8 and 16 have been removed from random seasons for reasons.

[–] DanVctr@sh.itjust.works 22 points 2 days ago (2 children)

You can find the complete series in 4K all in one torrent, though.

No but see that sounds hard.

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

with subtitles in every natural language plus klingon

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

But you have to be careful though because otherwise you'll download the version with Yiddish subtitles actually burnt into the video.

Instead of paying for Sky, I usually watch football at the Poob 👍

[–] WanderingThoughts@europe.pub 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not anymore. It's Viva Engage now.

[–] Frostbeard@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago (2 children)

They really try to make engage a thing at my workplace. HR really pushes it but not even the crickets are alive in there

[–] trashgirlfriend@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I'm pretty sure at my place it's just the CEO('s gimp suited underlings) and similar types('s gimp suited underlings).

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 1 points 1 day ago

Right because who doesn't want to watch a video of the CEO demonstrate they don't understand their own business?

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Fuck this is too real. The assholes who force the company to implement these additional platforms usually fuck off right before they officially roll out and leave everyone else scrambling to figure out how it works.

[–] Gwen@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Omg that’s a thing? I saw it happen twice and thought it was weird at the time. What is up with that?

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago

They're usually some junior executives who are trying to pad out their resume with the right keywords they need for their next job.

[–] hungryphrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 24 points 2 days ago

poob has it for you

2010: I wish they had TV on the Internet

2025: I wish nobody had TV and nobody had Internet

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

In like 2005 i remenber thinking places like aadultswim putting the week's episodes up was nice. I enjoyed tv on the internet. I enjoyed the internet.

Get off my lawn.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 11 hours ago

Remember when southpark.com had all the episodes for free because Matt and Trey were sick of pirating their own show to see an episode?

Pepperidge Farm Remembers.

Then they made a deal with Paramount and said "fuck you guys, I'm going home."

[–] blockheadjt@sh.itjust.works 81 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's literally on bebo. Use your lala login. Haven't you ever used fupu before?

[–] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 32 points 2 days ago (2 children)
[–] daw@feddit.org 2 points 1 day ago

Bebo (/ˈbiːboʊ/ BEE-boh) was an American social networking website that originally operated from 2005 until its bankruptcy in 2013. The site relaunched several times after its bankruptcy with a number of short-lived offerings, including instant messaging and video streaming, until its acquisition by Amazon in July 2019 when it was shut down. It was announced in January 2021 that it would be returning as a new social-media site the month after. By May 2022, it had once again been shut down, without having left beta-testing.

According to government records, the only names not yet trademarked are "Popplers" and "Zitsels."

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Popplers is copyrighted by fox tho

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

Zitsels it is, then.

I probably should have mentioned this, but its funnier this way.

[–] cypherpunks@lemmy.ml 27 points 2 days ago

because this is firmly in poe's law territory, i searched for "pibmow" which returned a wikipedia article for something called "pribnow box" which i figured was a set top streaming appliance, from which (until clicking it) i briefly inferred that everything in this post was real.

It's actually not the worst name for a srreaming service, considering Philo Farnsworth was a key developer of modern electronic-scan TV.

[–] Midnitte@beehaw.org 12 points 2 days ago

Turns out, that's exactly who it was named after
