This was my instinct with that submarine fiasco. Calls a man he's never seen or talked to a pedophile? First thing? Gotta be a reason that word was in his mind.
I think Musk is just stupid and dishonest. And a kind of empty, inside. He reaches for words that he thinks will have the effect he wants without caring about their meaning. He knows "pedo" is near universally reviled, so that's the word that came out. If it was 1980, he probably would have called the man gay.
He also told in himself, stating "there's only one reason men go to Southeast Asia", while having flight records of himself visiting Thailand. He's a pedo.
It's OK to call Musk a Pedo, because that's apparently a common expression in South Africa.
At least that's the excuse he used when he called it to the cave diver who made him look a twat by actually rescuing children, rather than posturing with a robot that wouldn't fit in the cave.
