It looks okay to me. Nothing to lose your minds over.

Granted, I don't pay for any streaming services because they all have become worse and worse in regards to content, pricing, and ads...

A whole article about how bad a redesign is without a single screenshot. Bravo.

Netflix has been gaslighting it's users for nearly a decade now. Grow up, anyone still paying them money.

Imagine still paying for Netflix!!! Lol big lol.

I like to support my billion dollar local businesses!

I cancelled netflix a while ago, it just ain't worth it no more. Might restart it to binge a few things then cancel again

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 17 points 19 hours ago

Might restart it

Or don't give them money, and go sailing instead.

Out of interest, do you watch international content? Because they commission and buy in so much of that compared to the others.

[–] asteriskeverything@lemmy.world 0 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I notice hulu has been getting a lot of kdramas and anime. Not much from other countries but they are starting to pop up too now. Oh and if you meant international like bbc yeah they have a lot of that.

[–] Skavau@piefed.social 1 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

No, I meant K-dramas and other countries too.

[–] asteriskeverything@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

In that case they have some good content there. I just finished The Light Shop which is like a horror drama mystery (depending on your tolerance for what horror is.) Apparently the creator is doing some universe thing and their other show Moving is based in the same universe. I haven't seen it yet though

Netflix definitely has way more kdrama though than hulu, especially stuff that is just owning streaming rights.

Yep it's mainly American stuff that I watch.

Ask your local sys admin/DevOps nerd what they're doing. The self hosted stacks are easy to maintain if you do it for a living and most of us hand out access to our friends/family.

[–] Skavau@piefed.social 1 points 18 hours ago

Ah well that's the main appeal for many. International content.

Shoutout to the Samba/VLC crew.

[–] x00z@lemmy.world 8 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

You mean we're paying now?

No.

[–] scrubbles@poptalk.scrubbles.tech 8 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

They lost like, a one digit percentage of consumers, most of which came back, and then even more signups happened. Like it or not, we are not the majority and most people are happy to hand over their hard earned money

[–] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 4 points 18 hours ago

Yeah I was talking to a friend earlier and she was like "I don't think your little slice of the Internet is representative". She's not wrong.

Most people don't care about things.

[–] Ulrich@feddit.org 2 points 21 hours ago

I mean those are both correct. What's incorrect was all the people who thought everyone would cancel their accounts because of it LOL

[–] AmazingAwesomator@lemmy.world 6 points 21 hours ago

i quit when they changed the ability to quit the android TV version of the app to 7-9 button presses. has that been changed back to 2?

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 7 points 23 hours ago

It is loud and obnoxious. So "in your face".
