Every time I see these posts, I feel as though you folks haven’t been taking good care of yourselves and that makes me a bit sad. You’re some of the most tolerable people on the internet! And that’s genuinely high praise.

This IS what taking care of yourself looks like.

Idk. If you're always tired and need 10 hours of sleep everyday, there might be something wrong with your lifestyle. Being active is what gives me energy.

When you work 10 hours a day of hard labor work ( both mentally and physically ) and you come home to a farm, do some cycling/strenght training with weights on the side you do need 8-9 hours of sleep every day ( I on average do 24k steps a day so somewhat active )

I mean I guess so. But I dont think this is a really common lifestyle.

[–] crony@lemmy.cronyakatsuki.xyz 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Where I live that's the most common lifestyle, so my view is molded by that

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

Well, as long as you're happy, good for you.

I'm 37 and I thoroughly enjoy going to the club, festivals, and sometimes raves.

TIL I've been 30 since I was 20. Always hated clubs.

Although the frequency of partying is lower, I still like to go out and party from Friday till Sunday evening. Recovery takes a bit slower than in my 20s so I don't party every weekend anymore. But I'm 38 and will never stop dancing my ass off. This summer Fusion and Boom festival :)

Speak for yourself. I wasted my 20s and now I rule the nights in my 30s

I thought this was supposed to be a shitpost.

Listen up, you young punk. I've had it up to here with your loud noise, your loud clothes, and your loud MUSIC. Now WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF?

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

People who made these memes seems to have such boring lives.

I'm in my forties, went to see my 4th show of the month yesterday, I have a diner friday, a party saturday, and 2 more shows next week. Most of these are free events btw.

[–] Dozzi92@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

It just loses its luster after a point. I've been to hundreds of shows, went out pretty much every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for like 15 years. Now, someone will be like, hey, you wanna go see x band/DJ that we've seen a dozen times? I do end up working two to three nights of the week in board meetings, and so having a night that I can be at home and just relax is just more appealing. I'm also becoming more and more a morning person, so I'm game to go out all day, get home at a reasonable hour, and go to bed.

That's not to say there's not things that bring me out these days, but I think it's gotta have some draw.

All this being said, I'm good for a show a month probably, grabbing drinks a couple times, or dinner at friends' houses. Not doing nothing, but certainly don't have the compulsion to kick it like I'm 10-15 years younger than I am.
