Will you need a subscription to turn-off the computer now?

For new comers Linux Mint is a great out-of-the-box experience. You will find tons of info and guide on youtube, but it's pretty much as simple as installing windows now.

I personally like Fedora and Nobara but the latest sometimes break with updates so you need to handle this.

You can try most distros in a virtual machine before installing, to get a general idea of the look and feels.

Will he switch to not being a racist loser too?

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 10 points 13 hours ago

“Death to All Jews,” Mr. Kjellberg paid them to hold up the sign.

Right?

If rich people can't pay poor people to hold a "death to jews" sign without being label nazi anymore, what can the even do... Maybe he's autistic. What's next, you wont have the right to say the n word live or recommend a nazi channel to your millions of young followers??

The left is ruining everything, we can't even do a roman salute anymore without not facing any fucking consequences.

Well we know you would have let pedo win if you were.

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

It just got announced so it's an active project at least until de next election. If the conservatives win, it will most probably be canceled, but if the liberals win it will have at least a couple of years to work on the project, maybe even realize a first section of the railway. Let's hope it does happen.

I didn't vote for Harris because I'm Canadian, you know the country that yout dictator wants to annex?

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (4 children)

So you won't vote until you find a candidate that perfectly incarnates what you want? You realize that might be quite hard to reach? I could maybe understand in certain situations, but when the choice is between any random shitty politician and the fucking antichrist, best friend of one of most notorious pedophile ever, that explicitly stated he wants to be dictator and destroy democracy, I think you might want to consider making an exception. But I guess you wont have that problem anymore since the chances you get ever asked to vote again are really small IMO.

Meaning they were fine with any of both candidate winning...

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (18 children)

And tens of millions of americans just didn't care enough to vote. That was basically saying they are fine with a pedo-rapist who previously attack the captitol win the election. Nazi-enablers.

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 63 points 1 day ago (24 children)

And how many americans now identify as nazis? Asking for the entire world...

It's baffling to see that it's absolutely impossible to emit any form of criticism about steam (a soul-less dirty capitalist business like any other) without having an army of gamers ready to die to defend it. Yeah they offer a pretty good service, but taking a 30% on games is ridiculous.

We are really witnessing the beginning of the fascist oligarch USA.

This is the first private message I get on Lemmy, it immediately seemed suspicious to me so I tried the famous thing.... and it worked!

My boy Figaro. Little bugger (he's 8 months older now) just cost me 800$ in vet this week. But he's the nicest boy out there so it's already forgotten.

I don't plan to play those so let me know what you want. If it's in the title it's available. Look in the comment someone has a Dishonoed key to give.

I'll go first.

3 options

  • Going back to 1964 to watch the Duke Ellington's Montreal show. Try to meet the man and the musicians. Hang around my city.
  • Go in the end of the 70s to meet my parents before they had kids. Grab a couple of beers and party with my young adults parents. See my uncles, etc. in their young time
  • Going to 1881 during the couple of days when Nietzsche wrote Zarathoustra. I want to discuss with guy even if he is supposed to be writing all day long. No consequence right.

What are yours?

EDIT: I'll clarify: You can't affect the timeline. It means you cant go back to try to get rich with stocks, lottery, etc. It's like going to see a movie, when you come back the world will be exactly the same. You can interact with people, but in the end, the day you spend in the past will not have existed for anyone but you, in your memories.

I love this feature on macOS, I believe you can set something similar in Gnome, but couldn't reproduce it KDE. Someone suggest mapping spacebar to open the Information panel but it's definitively not as functional. Anyone knows a widget or any way to get something similar? Also, is there a way to save my theme and settings? Cheers!
