My ex would start watching an episode while I was working on my laptop on the couch, fall asleep within 5 minutes, wake up and put it back at the begining, rince and repeat. She would ge mad if I change the show. There are episodes of shows I don't give a fuck about that I must have watch 5 times. Once I got her socks that said "I'm not sleeping, I'm resting my eyes."

Doug Ford was a Trump fan just a few months ago. Never forget that.

In the 90s, as a kid in Quebec, I thought racism, sexism, homophobia were all things of the past. Boy was I naive.

Well, antifascist, anticapitalist, anti-colonialist, atheist, pro-trans, I guess I would be arrested right at the border at the land of the free. Good luck with the pedo-dictatorship USA.

Europeans are pretty active on this mater. I'm always amaze by how much people go to bistro bin France and Belgium. I think this applies to pub in England too. In Quebec, I think it was morr common in the 60, 70 and earlier and fade away with the importance TV and later the Internet took in people's home. Now when I go back to some small cities that use to have pretty active downtowns in the late 90s and 200Os, it's absolutely dead. The only bars that survive have a crowd of people in their 40s and more. It use be full of young people, but now I guess they just "flix and chill'...

I dont understand the use people make of AI. I know a lot of of professionnal composer who are like "That's awesome, AI does the music for me now!" and I'm like, cool, now you only have the boring part of the job to do since the fun part was made by AI. Creating the music is litteraly the only fun part, I hate everything around it.

That's a basic wednesday for him. He could share a video him raping kids while doing coke and his supporter would call it master trolling. We need to evacuate this garbage man from our discussions, outrage his what he feeds on.

It's some drunk maga dude threatning a street musician just because. Classic "you're a liberal" and "trump won" shit. I'll try to post it later.

I do a presentation of the Fediverse to my college students and will soon be giving short workshops to organization as well. I realize that a viable, decentralized altenative to Facebook is IMO the biggest missing piece of the puzzle. We need something that offers some kind of central platform for networking, events, groups, etc. For work related stuff I present Nexcloud. Mastodon, Lemmy, Pixelfed and Loops are getting really interesting and working alternative to their counterparts. I believe if we could get a massive movement of people to adopt an FOSS alternative to Facebook, everything else would easily follow. What do you people think, what would you recommend? I haven't tried Friendica yet.
