Would Harris be turning tariffs on and off randomly like a light-switch?

Would Harris be ordering ICE to deport innocent people?

Would Harris sign the so-called "big beautiful bill" tax cut to the wealthy?

Would Harris appoint horribly unqualified TV hosts to run our government?

Would Harris cut aid off to Ukraine and ambush Zelenskyy and other world leaders in the white house?

Would Harris be trying to end temporary protected status to people who may get killed if they go back to their home country?

Would Harris have her own meme coin that she uses to accept bribes?

It's important to note that we're speculating for the most part, because Kamala didn't make any equivocal statements or release a platform until two weeks before the election, but I do find it laughable when someone pretends Democrats are not right-wing.

Would Harris be turning tariffs on and off randomly like a light-switch?

No, but she'd continue to allow her golf buddies to price gouge you for everything from food, to electricity, to rent and stand idly by while you're evicted and criminalized for being homeless.

Would Harris be ordering ICE to deport innocent people?

Yes. In fact, Tom Homan was an Obama appointee. Democrats refusing to stand up for immigrants, both in the campaign and during Biden's presidency, is why we're in the situation we are now.

Would Harris appoint horribly unqualified TV hosts to run our government?

No. She'd appoint very smart, but also very fascist corporate people to run it, and those same people would be pushing for the same wars we're seeing now. (Just not leaking info about it on Signal.)

Would Harris be trying to end temporary protected status to people who may get killed if they go back to their home country?

If it were politically convenient, absolutely she would. But more likely she'd just stand by and do nothing while cops continue to murder innocent people and build cop cities.

Would Harris have her own meme coin that she uses to accept bribes?

No. She'd take her bribes in the traditional way: $100,000 'speeches' and PAC donations. Her campaign raised billions and still ended up in $20,000,000 in debt. It was making illicit money for a lot of people.

This article says that Harris's campaign platforms were released in early September which is more than two weeks away from the election.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4869169-harris-campaign-site-policy-positions/

Article says:

The Harris campaign site’s section on the economy outlines proposals to cut taxes for middle class families; make rent more affordable and homeownership more attainable; grow small businesses and invest in entrepreneurs, among other sections. And, it ends with a contrast to “Trump’s Project 2025 agenda,” which it argues would “jack up prices.”

This contradicts:

No, but she’d continue to allow her golf buddies to price gouge you for everything from food, to electricity, to rent and stand idly by while you’re evicted and criminalized for being homeless.

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

This contradicts:

No, it really doesn't. Her words contradict it surely. But reality tells a different story, with 25% of Americans being functionally unemployed.

And she was also adamant that she wouldn't operate any differently than Joe Biden, so voters could rest assured they weren't getting any meaningful relief from her.

I, and most Americans, are past the point of giving Democrats credit for saying nice things. They needed meaningful action, and the claims of being powerless ring hollow when you watch Donald actually using the powers of the presidency to make change.

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

This contradicts:

No it really doesn't, not if you have any experience with what positions mean when they say things like "grow small businesses and invest in entrepreneurs"

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Oh, we have perhaps too much familiarity with the positions of Democratic lawmakers.

Hence the 25% effective unemployment.

It's why no one believes Democrats when they make these extravagant promises.

Would Harris helping bomb Iran?

[–] JayleneSlide@lemmy.world 0 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Ya know... I used to be this binary in my thinking. For example, I naively opposed harm reduction measures, such as needle exchanges and safe injection sites. Aaaaand I'd like to congratulate drugs for winning the War on Drugs.

Yes, we need to fight for a better world, better candidates, and better leadership in all things. But JFC, stop fighting last year's fight.

I too want 100% progressive governance. Just a little bit of history and psychology reading demonstrates what you're doing right here, along with the intractability, is categorically NOT how we get there. Just like the Overton Window slowly shifted since the 70s to the fascist US shitshow we have today, we need to work to shift the window back.

InB4: yeah, history also generally indicates bloodshed is inevitable in these cases, so we're kinda in uncharted territory.

I understand the sentiment. I agree with the justified contempt for the DNC and Democratic Party. Let's light a candle rather than curse the darkness.

People are refusing to learn the lesson. The lesser evil is demanding good.

You should consider watching the video

sounds like somebody trying to cope with helping Trump win

[–] nkat2112@sh.itjust.works 8 points 4 days ago

I would agree.

[–] PixelPilgrim@lemmings.world 1 points 3 days ago

That's not the case, Hassan knew Harris would lose months in advance and how they failed.

Hassan was never a factor in Harris losing 2024. Biden is a much bigger factor since he kept aiding a genocide (Hassan spoke out against that).

Also Harris brought Bill Clinton like epstien Island didn't exist into her campaign trail 🤣

[–] Anomalocaris@lemm.ee 6 points 3 days ago

she would be less bad in the optics of some issues, but yeah, this country needs real change

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 days ago

Democrats will downvote this and act like they're the better party because they like it when their side is subtle in their incremental fascism.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago (2 children)

ITT: upset genocide supporters.

[–] TokenBoomer@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Harris could end this debate with a single statement condemning Israel and the genocide. The fact that she hasn’t speaks volumes.

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 days ago

She could do anything about this by publicly speaking, but she's cowering. I wonder why she's not against any of this?

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 days ago

Why acknowledge the side you support openly doesn't care about you, when you can downvote and stick your head in the sand?

Somehow I don’t think ICE would be raiding cities en masse while actively trying to skirt the constitution, the world would have gone into a massive economic tailspin, or we’d see the US close to entering yet another war in the Middle East justified by a complete lack of evidence.

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml -1 points 3 days ago

or we’d see the US close to entering yet another war in the Middle East justified by a complete lack of evidence.

Yeah, because it would already be in it.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 0 points 4 days ago

The world hasn't gone into an economic tailspin. The planetary economy is too big to fuck up that quickly, but Trump is sure trying.

givesomefucks. industrystandard. ensign_crab. tokenboomer. universalmonk. geneva_convenience.

You know the tree by its fruit

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Excuse me, but if you have something to say to me, you can support genocide to my face.

[–] aubeynarf@lemmynsfw.com -1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

why do you say such stupid shit? The people you’re talking to don’t support genocide. Keeping Trump out of office was the way to see a more free Palestine.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Keeping Trump out of office was the way to see a more free Palestine.

Which is why I voted for harris. I still criticized her support for genocide, and that pissed you off because you support genocide.

[–] aubeynarf@lemmynsfw.com -1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Wait a minute! That means YOU SUPPORT GENOCIDE!!!

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

centrists spent the entirety of 2024 insisting that people who don't love genocide don't have to agree with their pro-genocide candidates on everything in order to vote for them. centrists scream "purity test!" at anyone who has any standards whatsoever, but the second one of us actually does what you say you want and votes for your shitty pro-genocide candidate for the reasons you laid out, you pull shit like this.

You don't care how anyone votes, you just don't want any criticism whatsoever of the only policy centrists have never backed down on.

[–] PixelPilgrim@lemmings.world 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Always good to see Hassan piker.

I'm glad I voted for stien the worst thing she did was meet with Russian officials

[–] aubeynarf@lemmynsfw.com 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You never have to make those really ambiguous, but necessary decisions if you never make it to office!

[–] PixelPilgrim@lemmings.world 1 points 3 days ago

Uhm true? But what are you actually saying

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 2 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Kamala: "I literately told you so."
