I've definitely met my fair share of people that harbour this sort of belief. The UK is teeming with them currently, all of which have been riled up over the last few decades (atleast) by nationalist parties like the BNP, Britain first and now reform UK insisting that the consistently eroding quality of life, is due to foreigners, rather than the few fat cats hoarding all the cream.
I've seen people at food banks parrot this xenophobic shit after being laid off due to clear capitalistic profiteering... It's insane just how effective hate can be in manipulating people.
I don't know a great deal of German politics, but from what I've heard regarding the Afd party, I'm sure some of this will resonate.

so rich to hear that from a country that almost got turned into an agriculture fixture for taking nationality a wee bit to seriously. mayhaps his anxieties would be eased if he returned to farm life and celibated his heritage that way.
