it's not delivery, it's disgusting

[–] papalonian@lemmy.world 90 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

If you're eating this like a normal pizza, it would get more tame as you went. Seems counterintuitive

[–] Mobiuthuselah@mander.xyz 36 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Dante's Divine Comedy is read similarly. Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago

nah, you wash the spice down with the rest of the slice

It gets progressively hotter to the center, most people eat from the center to the crust making the progressive heat experience redundant

[–] dditty@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 weeks ago

Thanks for the explanation; I do actually eat pizza the normal way I just wanted to post a nostalgic clip from my youth of Pizza Hut's Stuffed Crust pizza ad from back in the day

[–] Eczpurt@lemmy.world 44 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Coincidentally that's how your butthole will look after finishing the pizza.

hey now open sores software underpins the internet

[–] Pacattack57@lemmy.world 30 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

It’s inverted. The center should be the bell peppers because it is the first bite.

You need to think about area. That's a lot of reaper.

[–] Venus_Ziegenfalle@feddit.org 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I fold frozen pizzas over and eat them sandwich style

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How do you fold a frozen pizza, it's rock hard when frozen. Also, I would suggest to warm it up before eating, tasted a tiny bit better. But I recommend eating something completely different instead of cardboard. Like a curry or something.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

Unless they cut it the non pie way... Then someone is getting a full piece of fire. I guess it might make crust pieces more popular lol.

[–] asteriskeverything@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago

Obligatory fuck Nestlé

[–] ALoafOfBread@lemmy.ml 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It's not Dante's inferno, it's DiGiorno

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Send your asshole to the 9th level of hell...

[–] ALoafOfBread@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago

The 9th circle of Hell may be cold, but we promise your asshole won't be!

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 weeks ago

glances at bad dragon collection

Only ninth?

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 week ago

This makes no sense. You're supposed to eat the pizza from the outside for the increasing hotness effect? The one who created this clearly never ate pizza themselves.

[–] Pulptastic@midwest.social 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Home made low carb pizza with garden grown Carolina reapers on it. Yum!

[–] Frozengyro@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Looks good, how was the heartburn?

[–] Pulptastic@midwest.social 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Heartburn has only been a problem for me when I am eating too many carbs. This was one of my low carb phases so no problem there.

It definitely burned going down, but the real fun came the next morning on the way out.

[–] OrteilGenou@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Oddly, a friend grew ghost peppers and made a very simple hot sauce: blended peppers and vinegar with a touch of sugar and salt. I didn't know that was the exact recipe so I just dipped a whole chicken wing in and went to town. It was weird, like it was so spicy that it almost wasn't spicy because my whole head went numb.

The next day I was fearing the worst but... no issue! I actually ended up using that hot sauce all fall and winter as a chicken wing sauce. Never had a problem.

Tried a donair pizza with pickled jalapenos on it and it felt like a platoon of ants armed with flamethrowers decided to attack my asshole, with the added bonus that the cheese didn't exactly speed things along.

So I'm basically done mixing hot peppers and cheese

[–] Nikls94@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

There’s a local company called "Fireland Foods" They have all kinds of sauces with basically no fancy ingredients beside xanthan gum for the thickness. Here’s a screenshot of their Habanero Sauce:

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

No, it should all be shiftex out one layer, and the innermost layer should be menthol crystals.

Have people never even read the fucking classics? Fuck. Just insukting itallian culture like that.

[–] n3m37h@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

Pineapple in between each pepper

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I was thinking wintergreen but okay.

That's a reasonable debate to have.

[–] ComradeMiao@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Once went to a Thai restaurant which use ghost peppers as their main spice. I can eat serious spice but that’s not even traditional. Almost killed me

[–] bubblybubbles@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I need to find a thai restaurant pronto haha 😋

[–] ComradeMiao@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

It’s in NC IF YOURE CLOSE

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 1 points 2 weeks ago

Would it happen to be on the Southside in a strip mall?

[–] AndyMFK@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 weeks ago

I've never heard someone refer to New Caledonia as NC before

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago

Ghosts are the first and only pepper to make me puke.

Doesn't stop me from eating then, just smarter about making sure my stomach has lots of stuff to dilute the heat.

[–] someoneelse@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Does anything beyond habaneros taste good at all or do they just burn for the sake of it? I know habaneros taste amazing and so do the ones before that, but I have never tried the rest of them.

[–] StupidBrotherInLaw@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I recently took a tiny nibble of a ghost pepper. It was pretty tasty, a bit sweet with a fruity, fleshy flavor somewhat similar to habaneros. Then I was overwhelmed by an intense, deeply primal feeling of anxiety and fear, followed by every mucous membrane in my face starting to scream as their flood gates opened.

This description makes habaneros appealing.

[–] Nikls94@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Habanero is what I call snack-Material and scorpion is where it’s a once-every-three-months territory.

I’ve finished quite some Carolina reaper challenges, but I still get immense heat and pain.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 2 weeks ago

Wouldn't it make more sense to have the one, single scorpion in the center of the all the hot peppers, purely for the presentation?

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Uhm. Sure. You go right ahead. Film yourself doing it though?

I do have to say peppers on pizza is a great choice. Can't say I'd want to go beyond jalapenos, habaneros, banana peppers, red/green/orange/yellow peppers though.

That said, is trying this pizza, but I'd have to start crust first

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm trying to imagine what Dante's Paradisio Pizza would be like. Super sweet, maybe?

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Pineaple banana mascarpone pizza.

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 2 points 2 weeks ago
[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Needs spicy meats as well.
