Working food service at a major airport and never called in sick. Dude was undoubtedly a super spreader.
For sure, and all because the US has zero federally required sick days and that energy is directed at the little guy, especially immigrants. He was probably scared to call in sick and/or too poor to be able to miss the pay for the lost hours.
He’s wearing a mask in June ‘22, maybe he’s just careful.
Unless it's an FFP3 mask, it probably won't keep him fully safe.
Last year I completed 10 years worked at a company. I got a generic card basically saying to keep up the good work.
Someone else I worked with got a pin after 15 years.
I heard at 20 years you get a coffee mug.
At 25 years you get a new yacht for your boss.
I once worked at a place that had a fun “birthday wheel”
You got to spin it on your birthday and get a prize.
After 7 years of working 60 hour weeks I got a $5 Pete’s gift card. The same day a marketing intern won a Vespa.
It was an important lesson about how hard work does not pay
Shortly after my company was acquired I got notified of my 20 year anniversary. They kept our original hire dates from old company.
They let you pick stuff from a catalog. I got a shop vac and a "pearl" necklace. 5 years later, they added a visa gift card option. Always take the gift card.
Reminds me of the TV show severance, work a few more years and maybe you will get the music and dance experience soon

Went to look for his food truck in Nevada to check it out and there is a lot about this 1 year old story that doesn’t add up. For a guy who never missed a day of work for 29 years and allegedly bought a food trailer named “K27Y”, there’s no business listing or web presence at all. His Facebook page even looks fabricated. Very very odd. Either something happened that caused him to change his mind and quit working and/or he took the money and ghosted his supporters. Something just seems off about this story.
Or the entire story is fabricated, including the DS donation?
I found a facebook reel of him moving into his house. How much time did you spend looking? Do you need any help with search engines?
So what's the moral of this story? That you should miss some work days or that you should keep grinding in the hope of going viral one day?
That you should become a carpenter, befriend a smith and then build a guillotine together :)
I see 2 morals to the story. Firstly, don't work at BK for 27 years because they don't give a shit about you, and you could probably make a better living at many other jobs in that time. Secondly, that rage-bait gathers attention on the internet and can possibly lead to riches if you promote your story of injustice to the public and solicit donations.

It means he showed up and cooked food even while sick, putting the rest of us at risk. But I can't blame him because the other option is probably poverty.
Never missed a day/shift, probably no sick days. Never seen it celebrated at a job, just in elementary school
Never buying from burger King again, no sick days? 100% this guy bless his soul came to work with flu, or with the runs, he would've come with covid.
Used to have a job that would pay you double time for any sick time you didn't use but they never celebrated this shit lol

I would be a social worker or a cook if I could live off the pay.
I have to work for myself to make enough to live, i don't have the option to help my community through my work.
