Our little idiot couldn't care less about traditional cat fare like tuna. But he can hear the sound of the olive oil jug or mayo being handled from across the whole house.

Hah just like our demon, doesn't care for any traditional cat snacks. But start eating yoghurt and she'll come running. She doesn't even like yoghurt, she just wants to smell.

Lol, that's a catch phase in our house: "he just wants to sniff!"

We've got a cat like that. Anything dairy.

For my cat its the fake butter container. She comes fucking sprinting every damn time. I don't even give her any but I have to constantly defend it anytime I make toast. Lest she shove her face in it.

She just can't believe it's not butter!

Now I'm picturing the undeniably fabulous mane on that feline.

I met my neighbor’s cat cuz they got stuck breaking into my greenhouse to steal carrots.

Still don’t know what they do with them.

Our void looooves cooked carrots

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

They’re not eating them, (it apparently doesn’t show up in their poo, and the carrot is usually large enough that it’d do something)

And they’re not bringing them home…. (Their vegan daughter would have been delighted about that. She normally gets a free supply though.)

Which, I imagine they’re bringing the carrot as a gift to a really confused third neighbor.

Lure bunnies.

I choose to believe that it's the human that jumps on the counter in this story.

Let the cat have the liquid while you eat the meat.

[–] AlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.works 23 points 6 days ago (1 children)

My roommate does this with their cat. Now whenever anyone operates a can opener the cat comes running and MEOWS, even though in my case it's never tuna.

No kitty, you don't want my black beans. Stop.

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 18 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Let the cat have the liquid while you eat the ~~meat~~ beans.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 5 days ago

Then, let the cat clean up the explosive diarrhea it sporadically paints the house with afterward. Mmm, meaty bean water, the sequel.

I have always thought canned tuna was no different than cat food lol

[–] MyNameIsRichard@lemmy.ml 8 points 6 days ago

Canned tuna can have more salt in it and too much salt not good for cats. Hell it's not good for us, very tasty though.

Every-single-time.

Jesse Nowack!! Yo, he’s awesome!! He used to go to the same MLP convention I went to. He was always super friendly and cool.
