Liminal spaces are the subject of an Internet aesthetic portraying empty or abandoned places that appear eerie, forlorn, and often surreal. Liminal spaces are commonly places of transition (pertaining to the concept of liminality) or of nostalgic appeal.

Reminds me of the Aria in Vegas. They have these super disorienting curved hallways.

This is a hotel apparently actually.

Had a biddy that used to travel a lot for work and would share photos like this of hotels

Straight out of my childhood nightmares. Usually it was apartments, but sometimes also hotels, schools or hospitals. Regardless, it was always dark and impossible to see the end of the corridor.

Laser grid in the ceiling. Be careful.

I've been here before in my dreams...

I used to have this weird recurring dream where it would start off pretty mundane and vividly in real life. I'd wake up and hop out of bed or fall down the stairs and as I hit the floor I just went through it falling through layers of earth and rock until eventually landing in this fucking hallway. I would hear weird noises coming from the darkness, be able to look up and down the hall once or twice and then wake up.

I had this same dream so many times that it has been burned into my memory and still gives me the chills.

Is the floor just mud? Wet cement?

It looks more real when flipped around.

Oddly, it does.
