I swear half of the right wing pundits on YouTube are just doing it for the ad revenue. They see that people are mad about right wing crazies so they act like they are right wing so they can clicks

Sometimes you can see their mask slip.

Andrew Tate, that Pearl lady. Both have accidentally smiled in interviews at times that signal they are trolling

I really don't need to upgrade, I love my Open but if it's truly under 9.4mm closed that is tempting. Bigger battery and screens too! Samsung needs to wake up

Had my ZFold3 for 3 years, then got a used OnePlus Open

I think that foldables are "ready" now. I beat the hell out of my Fold3, and it never died. My OPO feels near perfect, no compromises other than weight

They cost too much, but second hand prices drop fast

and the Anycubic Kobra combo, only one I know of with a heated filament dryer inside the MMU

BambuLabs has one of the only somewhat working multicolor system

Welcome to 2025, Bambu has competition now

Anycubic Kobra combo (built in filament dryer too) Creality K2 Plus combo (2.5x the build area of biggest Bambu, faster)

Then there are DIY MMUS like ERCF, 3DChameleon, etc.

Matter and energy cannot be destroyed, they only change form

Yes, and the energy in your body is not ever destroyed. Your consciousness is electrical and chemical energy running a biological computer (brain). That energy is NOT lost when you die. Your brain will rot and be broken down by bacteria and worms, they will get that energy and it will continue FOREVER. The data, your consciousness, does not survive this energy transfer.

I highly suggest you read Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan. He really breaks down how much of this speculative stuff gets taken as fact without any proof, or even with proof to the contrary. It really is applicable today when people are rejecting reality in favor of religion, crystals, and energy healing. He uncovers the psychological processes that make this happen over and over in the course of human existence.

TLDR; It's all bullshit (he puts it way more respectfully)

You are right, wars are not one-sided.

Every single year 15,000 people die just because of the claim denials from United healthcare alone. Under the leadership of Thompson, UHC committed five times the death toll of 9/11...each year

1 vs 15,000. Do you attribute more value to the life of a CEO then a working class family?

More and more people are becoming suicidal because of the way that this country is turning into the hopelessness that it drives into their souls.

Mark my words, this is just the beginning. Why kill yourself when you can take out someone evil beforehand?

The human soul cannot be measured even in a human body.. So why do you think it exists? You sound like someone who completely rejects science in favor of fairy tales that make them more able to go to sleep at night.

Reality is harsh and cruel. Your 'soul' is just your consciousness, it disappears the second there is no energy to keep your brain alive. The second you die you are gone forever, the only thing that remains is your memory until those people die. Nature does not care about you, you have the same worth as a cockroach.

All of these religious fairy tales are there to exploit your fear of death. They give you a fairy tale saying that death isn't the end so you feel better about life. All you have to do is follow their rules 😂

Organizations will be taken down by the FBI as "terrorist cells"

When did peaceful protest accomplish anything?? Organizing alone is worthless. We need action, retaliation.

Individual actors are impossible to stop. I'm hoping that doesn't take too much longer for the next one

You have to make a lot of assumptions for any of that to be true.

Your consciousness is the sum of electrical signals and stored data. The same way that if you throw a computer into a fire the data is gone forever.

The energy in your body is what continues on forever, not the data.
There is no law of conservation of data. That is not a thing

I see a large trend of people just completely rejecting reality for fantasies. I would love it if my consciousness continued on forever, but that is not the truth. There is zero evidence of this. When you dye your body will rot and the energy will be returned to the earth. I think that is more beautiful

I wonder how long it's going to take for you people to join the right side of the class war.

You are not one of them. The second your child gets sick you will understand

Dude there's an entire community of people reloading their own cartridges. You will not legislate your way out of this.

There are people creating 50 cal rail guns that use only electricity. No explosions, infinitely reusable

My buddy has a cold plunge and this filter started cracking. After looking at it you can tell it's definitely 3d printed (and well)

On the left you can see my first attempt. I just cut rectangular holes in CAD and it's pretty close but not pretty. Printed in PETG on a K1 Max

Is there a way to do this in the slicer instead? I played around with 0 walls and different infill types but that didn't work out

Decided to do multicolor accents on a fosscad print and made a little cow from the purge material for my friend's kid

If you are using purge objects with you MMU you should start! Cuts the waste down to just mere grams.

This was made on a 3D chameleon hooked up to my K1 Max.

I've been playing some gyroscope based racing games on my phone and thought it would be cool to have a physical steering wheel to hold.

Since I already have a magsafe ring stuck to the back of my OnePlus Open I designed it to use magnets.

Functionally it makes the games way easier to play since you can really precisely tilt the phone. You can even steer one-handed pretty easily too

The magnets I used are a little weak so I'll be replacing that with another stronger magnet ring I have

Designed in fusion 360, printed in pla+ on K1max

I was experimenting with bottom patterns in Orca and octagon spiral looked cool. I tried it with RGB filament and it came out amazing!

There is a depth to it and it changes with the angle

I haven't seen this before online so figured I'd share!

I am finally back to having a rooted phone after a decade! Feels nice to have control over my phone again.

The only thing left to get working again for me is the Samsung Wear connection to my Watch6.
I can get pretty far in the setup, but it eventually says it can't connect.

I tried the Magisk module GoogleSpoofForWear and even edited my .prop file, no luck! Safetynet passes and playintegrity is intact.

Followed every guide I could find, so reaching out to you guys for help! anyone get their watch working on a rooted phone? (android 14)

Edit "Solution": I was able to get it to work after fully resetting my watch. I kept the app magisk hidden but not sure if it was necessary... I didn't want to have to do that but at least it works now!

I made a magsafe mount in black for my Kia and I didn't like the layer lines on the curved parts, but it gave me the idea to try using wood

I have a 3D Chameleon MMU so I added color changes randomly throughout between two shades of brown. One is wood, one is PLA.

It honestly came out way better than I even expected!

If anyone wants the STL I can provide it!

I had made Junglecat controller cases for my galaxy fold but just got a S23 Ultra and decided to make another for this phone.

I love how perfectly the size of the controllers matches the phone width. It makes it look like one cohesive device!

Speakers, USB and pen are all accessible still.

I am willing to share the STL for free to anyone interested, but if you want to leave me a 'tip' you can buy the file from my store for five bucks. Also selling printed cases for those without a printer!

4hr 40m Benchy! (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by 4lan@lemmy.world to c/3dprinting@lemmy.world

I finally got multi-color working on my Creality K1 Max using the 3D Chameleon.

Decided to make a 2 color benchy and scaled it down to 75% to save time, along with 0.25mm layer height.

So far the Chameleon has been pretty picky with filament, but when it works it works well! This print is with silk gold and matte black. I have even gotten 95A TPU to print with it surprisingly!

I modified the color-change code so it takes 1 minute less, which makes a big difference when you have hundreds of color changes.

Next up, 4 color benchy. Probably will be 10 hrs lol

I know this is very specific to my devices, but thought I'd share anyways. Really happy with how this came out and how convenient it is.

I have been playing with this idea for a while and finally designed it. This charges my ZFold3, Galaxy Watch6 and XROS vape all at the same time on my nightstand.
Phone and watch chargers are wireless, vape charger is a cable inserted to make a 'dock'.

I designed slots in the bottom so the cables all route out the back.

I added a little area at the front for miscellaneous items, like lip balm and coins.

I'm kicking myself now for not including a place to put my glasses, but I might design something to attach to this existing dock for them to go.

without phone/watch/vape

I ended up doing some experimenting to see how low I can make the fans go without sacrificing print quality and came up with this profile that is significantly quieter. It prints a 22min flawless benchy despite lower fan speeds. Thought I'd share it in case anyone else wants to use it

I have been putting my K1 Max in my laundry room due to the jet-engine/vacuum cleaner sounds it makes when printing. I got annoyed having to move it when doing a load, so decided to try to quiet it down a bit so I can have it nearby in my office.

I used butyl sound dampening sheets on the side panels, but that only helped with vibration noise from the side fans. It helps, but not enough.

  • Speed: 300 mm/s
  • Acceleration: 12,000 mm/s²
  • Max Fan: 40%
  • Chamber Fan: Off
  • Side Fan: 20%

Important: One thing to keep in mind is that if your minimum layer time (in cooling section) is too low your fans will run at 100% when your layers are less than this time, despite what you have fans set at in the profile. If you are printing a smaller model you might get some periods of high fan speed. Just adjust the min layer time for these instances. I have it set to 2 seconds, but 5 should be better for very small prints

My K1 Max had a bed leveling error and printed for a while with the nozzle pressed into the bed so filament couldn't come out, causing a bad clog.

I painstakingly stripped the machine down just to get access to the hot end, and the heatsink and heat break are completely fused. (yes I removed grub screw)

The throat seems to be able to spin within the rest of the heat break, I don't think that's normal but I'm used to enders and cr10.

What I've tried:

  • mini-torch on heat sink, then tried to pull hard out
  • Oven for 1hr at 200F
  • Freezer for 1 hour, THEN torch on heat sink
  • Heated the metal needle thing they provided, and stabbed that through the filament path
  • Tried to heat and remove the nozzle, but it is also completely stuck

I reached out to Creality a week ago and they have not replied.
The heat sink is not even available online, so I am dead in the water until they send me a new heatsink.

Does anyone have any other ideas???

UPDATE!!! (for those who have this in the future)

I finally got it! It took multiple cycles of putting it in my toaster oven at 450F for 20 minutes at a time.

I was able to get the nozzle removed after a couple cycles, which gave me hope.

I did two more cycles, trying to pull them apart each time. Finally it barely started to budge with lots of effort. I saw it was out about 0.5mm. I grabbed my torch and blasted that sucker right at the hole where the grub screw comes out from. Kept heating, pulling, heating pulling. Eventually it slid right out!

Here's the crazy part. There was 0 filament residue in there when I got it out. I have no idea what was locking it in place. If it simply burned away there would have been carbon residue at least. Both the heat break and heat sink were clean... It's almost like they JB welded it in place lol

I am so happy I wont be having to wait weeks for Creality to respond, then more weeks for them to ship a new heatsink. Going to use the spare hot-end that came with the printer and get this puppy printing again! Thanks again for the advice @dual_sport_dork
