Noble purpose, I feel it.

I'd rather not create a system where people are constantly looking to create enemies. Like move on from Twitter and Facebook products by all means.

These systems aren't home, and they aren't our friends. You use them, and the individuals who would use and love Lemmy/Mastodon may not be the same people who enjoy bluesky(for now).

Don't create out groups when you don't need to, it just makes you look a little crazy to normies.

I mean it did some good, but a lot of us perfectly sane people who also don't like the way the US projects soft power through a system of clandestine agencies using NGOs as cover, don't miss it.

Was this the way to stop it? Absolutely not. But honestly, I'm guessing the fact it was so intertwined with some deeply helpful agencies specifically towards red state farmer's, it was supposed to be painful to audit and get rid of. Fuck Elon and all that shit I need to say to virtue signal so people don't knee jerk not listen.

But also look into the propoganda our own country has fed us.

The joke will be on white people, they are part of the I in DEI in colleges.

In 5 years admissions will be 80% Asian women if you go by merit alone.

Sure, but this interpretation is almost entirely subjective to you. Most people don't think in shades of alcoholic.

"Because my consumption isn't problematic."

Like the person who is only drinking a half dozen times a year doesn't have a relationship with alcohol at all. They don't even think about it in a regular day. The only person who would hear a red flag in those responses is someone who does have a relationship with alcohol, and it's probably not a good one.

Do me a favor and round up to 2.5, cause you seem like the kind of person who wouldn't respect the 2 anyway.

The ADHD drives the anxiety in my experience. The way psychs in my area typically do things is step based, let's treat this symptom that's the worst, then get this under control. I had uncontrolled extreme anxiety that was causing all kinds of other problems, but I also had undiagnosed adhd into my 30's.

After fucking around with meds for a few years, I finally found that the thing that made me THE MOST anxious, was the uncontrolled adhd. I would be ok for a while on just anti anxiety meds, but ADHD + crowds/noise/stimulus could eventually lead to a panic attack.

Long story short, I had the epiphany on an international trip. I would not take Adderall during vacations or weekends, but this time I did, and my anxiety was totally controlled while it was in effect.

When I got back to the states, I got on a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor rather than a stimulant type adhd med, cause you build that drug up in your body like an SSRI and it provides is effects consistently. This has made the biggest difference in my ability to interact with the outside world without anxiety.

No, I'm the other kind of nihilist, the one that doesn't know shit!

Yes, participate in a low stakes back and forths cause the ones with data and numbers are too scary, right?

No, I'm pointing out that you've added so little to this you may as well have not even posted, look at how much traction the things the other person said are now getting. Why even say anything if you aren't willing to actually engage, all you've done is made the other person look rational and you look obtuse.

Interesting strategy!
