Highly unlikely that this ‘protest’ will do anything.
I agree to that. While the common mainstream news are reporting it, two-day drip in activity will hardly put a dent in the monthly analytic.

What is the name of the other app?
It's subjective to each of us, I wasn't a fan of Twitter, but Masto just gels well with me.
Home computer - Windows 10, because I didn't like Windows 11
School laptop - Windows 11, because I sacrificed it to see if I would like W11 on my home computer
Work computer - Mac OS, because I don't get a say in it
Someone mentioned poop knife, cumbox and more over at Reddit today, so much memories were made there, the place will certainly be missed.
It's your first try, just go with something you are familiar with, don't need to be hard on yourself.
Over at https://join-lemmy.org/ , when someone clicked on "Join a Server", they are presented with a list of instances, it's not that obvious that these are cross-accessible (yes, the homepage mentioned it, but not here), and people are bound to look for one with the most users.
Perhaps, add a simple TLI5 explanation/diagram explaining how Lemmy works on https://join-lemmy.org/instances .
(The documents are also too wordy for most people to care.)
Morrowind was great (in certain aspects), Oblivion was great (in certain aspects), Skyrim was great (in certain aspects); but if I have to pick one, I would measure them by how often I replay them - so Skyrim is my winner.
That's good to hear, I've also just realised that the app is also very recently updated. Whereas the other app was last updated last year.
