Im cautiously optimistic about Lemmy. Short / mid term I’ll be here as it provides probably 90+% of what I was getting out of Reddit. I’m not sure long term how it will work out but so far I have no reason to leave.

I’ve also noticed I just don’t interact with any of it like I used to with Reddit. I used to spend a lot of time just doom scrolling on Reddit. Now I get the highlights of the news, check the sports sun for updates, and then I’m back to the real world. I like that.

Im split on this. I don’t want a ton of bots spamming memes all over Lemmy but I really do want all the articles that are posted from the news subs to make their way over here. The only thing I find useful from Reddit is that. If one bot reposting all the news means thousands of actual users don’t have to engage with Reddit then I think that’s a net positive.

Since joining lemmy I’ve mostly avoided Reddit but during that 24-48hr period where Wagner was revolting against Putin i had to go back to Reddit because their up to minute news feed was posting updates faster than what we have here. If a bot brought all those posts over here I’d be over the moon.

Path of Exile is online only as well. Diablo 3 however many years ago was online only too. This genre has been this way for a LONG time now. I understand people would like an offline mode but that fight should have happened 12 years ago if they really cared.

Yes. Only thing I found really useful on Reddit was consolidated news. Nearly everything else was a time waster. I refuse to use their mobile app so I’m not going anywhere. I’ve been saving so much time not mindlessly scrolling on Reddit.

I know I’m basically done with Reddit. Just waiting for July 1st to make it official. The biggest thing I was missing from Reddit was r/worldnews. Everything else was basically just a time waster. The fact Lemmy has worldnews is all I need to not have to go back.
