After a whole playthrough of gloomhaven and Jotl, we finally learned in Frosthaven that crit and negate cards reshuffle the whole deck, not just that card. Same for ability cards. Our games normally ended with the minion deck either always critting, or missing. We justified it by thinking it was an intended clock by the developers, to make sure the end was extra difficult... all those games are such a breeze now :p

What a fantastic read, and really wanted to share it with someone. It got on my radar via some 2024 recommendation lists. I went in fully blind, not knowing what to expect.

The book had me hooked since page 1. It is intruiging, well written, and full of twists and turns. The way that Ram V and Dan Watters have woven their story is amazing. Same for the art, really captivating, props to Campbell and Kumar.

If you like thrillers and mysteries, or just want a good read, then please give it a go!

Strong songs is fully listener supported with a plug to his patreon once per episode. It is a podcast about what makes some songs better than others. Best if you have some musical understandig as he can get a bit detailed.

Nice progress! Well done, hopefully she warms up even more soon, keep us posted.

If the bite pierced skin it might be worth going to the doctor for a check. According to my vet a catbite that punctured the skin has a near 100% chance of becoming an infection.

Darknet diaries is one of my all time favorites.

If you like music analysis then Strong Songs is also interesting

And for a non serious listen I like to listen to Sherlock & Co, which is an amazing audioplay where Watson becomes a podcaster to deal with his PTSD. The adventures are self contained, so you can hop on any you like.

Normally in Democracy the majority or popular vote wins, however due to the electoral college America has, it doesnt necessarily mean the majority voted for the winner. This was the case for Bush, and some other moments in the past.

In Dutch we have DROL, Dicht recht, open links. So close right, open left as a very strict translation. But DROL is also Dutch for turd.

It is the Dutch railway company, so no, I wouldnt expect you to know this as a foreigner.

But I am a little sad now I am not part of the lucky ones...

I worked for the company that did their loyalty program, and then it was told to me that many mexicans don't trust the banks enough to go there, and prefer these "independent" shops as an alternative.

We were on vacation for a while, so mostly played smaller games such as splitter, qwixx, agropolis.

Since we got back we started with Aeons end future and past, where we had a really cool play to win the game. Everything just came together perfectly. We also received our kickstarter for Borderlands, and played 1 game of it. Really enjoy the gameplay, they managed to capture the BL soul really well :D

Wait this has been out for a while now, hasn't it? In the Netherlands we already could purchase it for 2 years now. Or am I missing something?

Skip the movie! It is a horrible attempt to make it cooler. All of a sudden he is a prof football (soccer) player and they get many details wrong. It was a horrible watch for me :p

I dont know if this really fits what you are looking for, but we had a Dutch writer called Thea Beckman who wrote the book Crusade in jeans (kruistocht in spijkerbroek). No clue if it was translated, and if it isnt too teensy, but I liked it when I was younger. It is about a boy from our time being sent back to the medieval times, and how he had to deal with the crusade he found there.

We got this box with an order of fries, but since then it has been his favorite spot...
