Search : language transfer app/site, comprehensible input + target language (ie: Spanish), cognates.

It's obviously some marketing stunt. I believe yhe weird guilt-tripping behavior started after a meme appeared during the COVID19 confinement, showing the mascot saying something like "Spanish or vanish." This massively boosted traffic to the app and led to its enshittification into this engagement-first, teaching-second garbage app they have today. I genuinely enjoyed the mascot before that.

Sadly, the Duolingo owl died. It was useless for teaching a language, but definitely was a superb mascot.

extreme loneliness meet cockroaches? Hmmm... Make it set in Cthulhu mythos, sprinkle some kafka metamorphosis and you got yourself a nice PS1 styled indie horror game.

Are you farming the cockroaches for protein/milking them or something? I can't fathom any other reason why anyone would want cockroaches other that these weird cases I read about on some science magazine.

I have an AMD R5 8600g with the internal m760 IGPU, and with Citron I've been able to play "Super Mario wonder" pretty smoothly (no stutter) even without shader cache. Set emulation to medium+ handheld+ (the sitting that makes compiling shader cache in it's own thread).
