Neoliberalism is reaching its natural conclusion, coupled with the gradual fall of colonialism, is going to lead to a permanent crash for the working class.

While Trump is being loud, the project to divide the US working class by ethnicity has been ongoing always, and began ramping up this century.

It will be required as all production is centralised within a handful of families. And the global south can no longer be relied on for cheap resources and manufacturing for middle class treats.

The US doesn't have a union presence, nor does it have understanding of left politics. Conditions will get worse and worse every decade.

The sangaline article was great! I really liked their approach.

As someone who uses Dvorak on my phone, I would be super keen for this alternative

Yes, but all criteria would cause issues in school.

Additionally symptoms must occur in multiple environments. The chances of someone meeting the criteria without struggling in school are very low.

I've linked the dsm5 in my comment now, it explains it better (imagine that, haha)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the DSM5 requires struggling in school (well struggle during a young schooling age).

That said, those with many characteristics, me, benefit from understanding why certain things are more difficult and adopting ADHD coping techniques.

Edit: specifically referring to the diagnosis and not identity

Edit: dsm5 for those who are interested https://www.cdc.gov/adhd/diagnosis/index.html#cdc_testing_when_to_tested-dsm-5-criteria-for-adhd

On the non-state-security side:

Not anything near what it's like in the US. There are no incentives. "If you decide to blow the whistle you had better be financially independent"

"Rome wasn't built in a day"

Has an entirely different message to me. It's often used as a reminder to be patient, not to loose your temper, etc.

On the day Rome was founded Romulus killed his brother Remus and marked out the city of Rome, construction starts. This is my initial reaction.

The next thing the Romans, a group of men (probably criminals), did after founding Rome was to raid their neighbours and kidnap their women. Rome then makes war for the better part of a thousand years, eventually subjugating the known world.

I think it's better used as a reminder subjugation starts out in small measures. "Parliament just passed antiterrorism laws, I'm sure they're to protect us" "Rome wasn't built in a day"

Joined a sports club, became a captain (administrative position), joined the committee. The trick is finding a sport where the average age is around yours.

Based on what? The US discussing legalising genetic experimentation for military uses is the pathway to Gattaca.

Not saying you're wrong, curious about your time-line

I would suggest they're more in touch with the science. It haunts science, we know we must do it for the benefit of humanity, but with the knowledge - the powerful and capital will use it for themselves.

I make it a rule to only start inexpensive hobbies.

Once they have progressed, and I'm getting good at it, they turn to expensive hobbies.

This triggers the end of the hobby cycle and a new hobby is targeted.

Still confused. They're sinking shafts at an angle into rock, filling with water, the pressure towards the bottom breaks the rock.

And then? How is the water drained, the shaft re- stabilised, etc

Start your own business which has low overheads.

Worst comes to worst you loose a little on insurance and paper advertising

It's honestly a bit boring, eat your veggies, eat well, exercise, socialise, don't poison yourself

I am accessing the NHL tv streaming site geoblocked from a country who has limited interest in hockey (hence no fighting amongst SN, ESPN, etc.).

Trying to access all games has been a nightmare to do through official companies. How's your experience been?

Hi all, I'm reaching out to the community to help with the design of a hex clock.

I'm honestly very lost on where to start. My current plan is to buy some gears and make a large monstrosity which is unlikely to fit on a wall. Does anyone have a more elegant suggestion?

It's following the general design of a clock with two main differences:

  1. There are 256 seconds in the second hands rotation.
  2. There are 4 hands, the 4th of which measures ~136 years in a rotation.
