I wouldn't call anyone defending Stalin and denying Holodomor a leftist. If you look closely, there's nothing socialist about Stalin's regime.

The google as default firefox engine was a shit move from mozilla in terms of etfics and financial independance. Then again, if the google money goes away, their existence is at risk, isn't it?

More than 600 car-related injuries in Chicago!? I mean, I'm not as surprised by the shooting victims since I heard gang violence was bad there. But 600 car crashes seems a lot for half a year (don't get me wrong, a lot of work should be done about gun violence too).

A program like Wine, but to run Android apps on a Linux machine would be great. It would use a lot less battery power than a virtual machine.

Is ammonia as fuel too dangerous? (sh.itjust.works)
 

There are a lot of papers advocating for a switch away from fossil fuels, and even H2 fuel cells, to ammonia based propulsion in transport. It can be used in combustion engines but there's a risk of NOx production. So the greenest option to me is ammonia to H2 conversion or direct ammonia fuel cells. It's got the same advantages of classic H2 fuel cells but without the constraints of cryogenic or pressurized containment of H2. And ammonia has a better energy density. But it's toxic for humans and, above all, marine life! Especially for fish species. So I'm feeling a bit uneasy about potential mass ammonia spills…
