That would eliminate being able to block with vehicles though. I think limiting it to the combat step would at least reduce the amount it occurs

Do you enjoy monster-battling RPGs with an 80's aesthetic? Are you curious what a Jumpkin is? Do you just want to jam to some cool video game music?

If any of that intersects with the stylish BAFTA-nominated game Cassette Beasts feel free to join us over at !cassettebeasts@lemmy.world

He wasn't kicked out for being racist, he was kicked out for blowing their cover

Granted, anyone with a brain could figure it out, but he said the quiet part too loud

It was also intended to counteract a rise in the price of bread, caused by the Office of Price Administration's authorization of a ten percent increase in flour prices.

This is how I find out that the US had an office for food price and rent controls (which was of course sabotaged by private companies and Republicans)

I feel like I didn't appreciate this movie enough when I first watched it but it only gets better as I get older

  1. The official Pixelfed app just has a nicer looking UI
  2. There's not really a competing app for people leaving Insta like there is Bluesky vs Mastodon
  3. Pixelfed's content is mostly visual so it's easily digestible to casual users and you don't have to scroll past dry Fedi arguments
  4. Better discover features so users don't have to do a bunch of legwork to find who to follow

Just my guesses though, but like any social media it really depends on if big creators will switch and if users stick with it over time

Ahh, the working class getting fined for insulting billionaires, communism as Karl Marx intended

Yeah this feels like a statement that they can later point to something like AI upscaling or filters and say "See, we're technically right!"

Better UI and a better discover page mainly. Plus it's gotten a lot of organic advertising just from luck and people talking about it, and no obvious competitor like Bluesky

I guess they're done with the fancy 3D animated trailers? That's a shame, they did a lot that animated card art just can't compare with

Believing in any way that Republicans are helping out the little guy or against big business is so ridiculous I have to believe this is willful ignorance to cover up the fact that a lot more people will need VPNs with all the porn bans and other privacy nightmares the right will pass the next few years.

Ah the Uncle Max saga. I liked the attempt to flesh out the family tree and Calvin's parents having another adult to converse with, but as far as characterization goes Max felt pretty flat. I can see why Watterson didn't bring him back

It's always the same "free speech" they're being censored for
