It's 1am. My plane leaves in 8 hours. I'll pack when I wake up...

Where I'm at, all the beepers sound broken, so it's this awful squawking noise. But it's purposeful, almost all large vehicles make that horrible noise.

Okay. Unrelated and it's driving me insane.

How do I do line breaks for lists like that? If I do two hits of Enter, it acts like a new paragraph in total. But I can't get it to just jump down to the next line, it just follows after the one above it as if it were continuing a sentence. Bwah!

I'm uncertain of what the ratings are in general, but there's probably some horror movie I love that's been dragged.

Maybe Insidious? Paranormal Activity 2? As Above, So Below? The Cleansing Hour?

One of those probably has a shit score somewhere lol.

EDIT because I realized how lazy I was being:

Insidious has a 66% on rotten tomatoes Paranormal Activity 2 has a 57% As Above, So Below has a 29% The Cleansing Hour has a shocking 73%

So my answer is As Above, So Below. Lol But I'm startled about The Cleansing Hour having such a high rating

I've passed the third section and moved into the fourth, horrible section. "Diagnosed ADHD but no medication will work."

Someone else said The Argument Clinic and that is definitely my favorite.

But my most referenced is "And now for something completely different."

Argument clinic is what I was going to choose haha

With an honorable mention for Train to Busan

✋ yes hello. I did cup stacking for a unit in middle school gym class. It was very bizarre.

I too just finished a ttrpg game. We're playing Pathfinder 2e, but today was our last session of the campaign. My character and another died during the big boss fight but what the remaining two characters did was so beautiful, so now I'm weepy and sad in a bittersweet way.

As others have commented, it could be a discriminatory thing you're stepping yourself into.

For example, what about dyslexics, or those with ADHD who can't focus on books but enjoy coding or other sci fi media?

You do you, ultimately, but using that as a qualifying factor when hiring feels like a slippery slope.

What are y'all's opinions?

I like slatted for the idea of a French cleat system where I can put some shelves or lamps up without taking up floor space. But cloth is also nice for the comfort and it seems more 'bed space' appropriate.

Since the election I've kinda buried my head in the sand to try and stay sane, so I'm not sure what projections are looking like for the real estate market. Unfortunately I need to move pretty ASAP and I'm having the worst luck with rentals.

So, anyone have any advice or an idea of the outlook in the next few months?

I've got heart problems which means my feet are pretty swollen, so normal shoes aren't really comfortable anymore. I've been wearing Alterras and I love them and the wide toe box, but the wide sizes are only in a boring color. So I'm looking for suggestions from you lovely folks.

I can't find an actual answer anywhere.

I'm trying to declutter my desk and a KVM switch sounds like the right way to go. I have two monitors that I use for work/play, but I'm having trouble figuring out if the output from my work laptop dock would be okay to input into the KVM to then output to dual monitors.

Anyone got a clue or has any experience with this?

I love horror but apparently I don't vibe with a lot of recommendations I find online.

I'd seen so much hype about Event Horizon and I absolutely hated it and didn't find it scary. I just watched Late Night With the Devil and whole it was definitely enjoyable, it wasn't the least but frightening. I also just watched Let the Right One In and really didn't like it. It also was not a horror movie in my opinion.

I will say one of my favorites is Sinister or the first Conjuring. Sinister for the stomach twisting dread and suspence throughout and Conjuring for the same.

So, what movies do you find to be the scariest?

Stumbled upon a rose and dahlia garden with a ton of different species. It was such a a gorgeous place and a gorgeous day. I took a bunch of pictures, but this one really sings for me.

Just checking in on y'all.

I'm stuck on this personally. I love my manual, I have a tiny little Mazda 2 and I have driven that thing absolutely everywhere because I can control it better than any automatic I've ever driven. But I've been casually looking for a new car and I'd love to have an electric, but I don't want to lose that level of control and everything I love about a manual.

What do you all think? What's your take?

I'm really stuck. I've been unhappy for years and we've done couple's therapy and tried to reconnect, but it's just not enough.

I have a bad habit of feeling guilty and responsible for everything and I just can't see a future where I hurt my partner so badly. I don't know how to sever myself from the relationship and alllllll of the stuff and responsibilities. My partner slacked off when it came to college internships so they've been unemployed for years, and now finally found a fast food job. But that means that if I leave, they're done for. They can't pay the mortgage alone, nevertheless the bills or food. They also mentioned in our therapy that their greatest fear is divorce and I don't know if that's because they're still so attached to me or if it's the fear of having to make it on their own.

How do I uproot their entire life over my unhappiness? That just doesn't seem like something I could possibly do... but I can't stay here, I'm withering away.

Help?
