I mean ~~occums~~ Occam's Razor, are we sure the mod(s) didn't delete their accounts leaving the community unmoderated or something?

Yeah it took me a few hours of research and plugin setup to get feature parity with Plex, and then even so I don't have anything to replace plexamp yet

[–] candyman337@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

Genuinely Plex has become so obtrusive about NEW FEATURES, NOW WE HAVE THIS, USE THIS THUS WAY!!! and then also my libraries have somehow become even slower to load. I've been using jellyfin way more often

[–] candyman337@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

That happens on centralized social media too though

People are misinterpreting what straight means in this thread. You can date a trans person and be straight. Have a genital preference is different than your sexual orientation. It's perfectly fine if you wouldn't date a trans person because they don't match your genital preference, sex related things can be a deal breaker. But you're not gay for dating a trans person of the opposite sex.

I feel like you could more easily make a flash drive in that shape of the same size lol, but yes you're right

[–] candyman337@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Depending on the amount of data you have that is entirely possible. At the least you could have a bootable drive with a specific image on it

WHAT IS THIS TITLE??? FACING SCRUTINY??? That's intentionally legitimizing the baseless report released by RFK's department of eugenicists

[–] candyman337@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Well, that's best practices but that's definitely not always implemented lmao

That means they've updated their password requirements and your new one is now rejected, or they reject passwords of a certain age or with a lack of account activity.

People say it feels like old reddit and it does to a degree, but in other ways it feels better!

People are so interested in finding alternatives to the systems that we hate, and actually are passionate about supporting those things and developing them into useable and enjoyable platforms.

People are interested in spreading the word about the importance of unions and the climate crisis. Idk if those posts just get squashed on reddit, but I've seen SO much more talk of workers rights and informing others about them.

It just gives me hope about the future for once. Like things are happening that are different, and I know that we can't be silenced here. This is a platform by the people, for the people, and that can't ever be fully taken away.

Just as the title says, I have two accounts on connect

On for sh.itjust.works, and one of lemmy.world

When I'm logged into the lemmy.world the sidebar opening especially lags way more than with the sh.itjust.works account

Edit: it appears to possibly be related to the number of subscriptions rendered in the list.

Before they load things seem to run more smoothly
