Going to Tokyo Next Year, What Are Some Places that are Anime Adjacent that I Should Go To?

Example would be the real life places used in Makoto Shinkai Films (Your Name, Garden of Words, Etc.)

  1. like the Shinjuku Gyonmae Park in Garden of Words.

  2. Cafe La Boheme (Your Name)

Or Maybe somehow to buy merch (Akihabara? but maybe somewhere more specific).

Maybe it'd help if I narrow down some anime that I particularly like.

  1. Haruhi Suzumiya

  2. Detective Conan/Magic Kaito

  3. Any Makoto Shinkai Films

what happened in the 2010 draft class and why are there so few of them left?

is it just a coincidence, or did something significant happen during that year?

Where to find the finished product?

Let me preface that I don't know much about any of these stuff.

I imagined a giant pitcher of water slowly filling up the earth.

A flooded earth sounds interesting, are there other planets out there that are overflowing with water?

If there are, that might be what would happen.

commercials are weird, but I guess effective if y'all still remember it after 20 years.

What does it mean to be a socially conscious movie?

Are these like movies that reflect on the inner working of society?

speaking of searching stuff, how does lemmy work in that space?

Like would I ever find this comment if I search it on Google?

"Alibaba DQC Matrix Peanut Butter"

I have a soft spot for Joseph King of Dreams.

Although (I hope) it's having a resurgence, whodunnits. Knives Out as a modern example, Clue, and Last of Sheila for some classics.

Strangely this made me think of In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins.

I'm not sure that's what you're after but that's the first song that popped in my head.

Tesla was the best magician all along.

I normally find most books in https://www.myanonamouse.net, but these movie artbooks I just can't seem to find.

Particularly this Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse: The Art of the Movie.

Looking to rent a condo, and I cook daily so a range hood is a must.

Can someone give the basics on how Range Hoods are bought and installed?

I read around and there are 3 styles?

  1. Under Cabinet

  2. Wall-Mounted

  3. Ceiling-Mounted

The condo I'm eyeing does not have cabinets on their kitchen, so should I look at Wall-Mounted instead?

The goal is I should be able to bring it with me after a year or so when I eventually move out and buy a home.

I've been trying to find this old PSX game where you do these missions (e.g. go inside the hotel room and kill off the people/mercs inside)

I think it involved some stealth.

Missions are contained.

iirc there's a sequence of actions you should do (doesn't have to be perfect) to complete the mission.

setting: within a moder city

you use guns as main weapon.

Do I need a 3rd party website like Strawpoll to do polls? If so, which one do you think would be the best for polls for music (maybe something that plays a sample of the song?)

Using Python, How can I create a bot/script that let's me re-post a subreddit's post to Lemmy?

Just wanted to do a simple little project to practice my programming skills.

I just need to know the outline/backbone of things I should know to do this project.

That's it, that's the post

Where do you get your Wallpapers?

Especially movie wallpapers.

Currently wanted to find some Across the Spider-Verse wallpapers.

I usually get mine on reddit before, but can't seem to find any anymore.

After some research I've narrowed down my options into these two controllers.

Use-case:

  • Mostly PC gaming (It Takes Two, PS2 Emulation, etc.), Android Gaming (probably Emulation as well).
  • Also my little brother has a Switch and it would be awesome to have another controller for that as well.

Why these two?

  • They are available locally (Philippines) and within the budget.
  • Both have Hall Effect Joysticks
  • Both have good reviews and hopefully have good build quality

Why am I leaning towards 8bitdo Ultimate?

  • Mostly because I think they are the same but 8bitdo has the back buttons.

Give me Reasons Why I Should Get the Gulikit KingKong 2 over the 8bitdo Ultimate

What are your Background Music when Reading a Book?

For example when I was reading The Lord of the Mysteries I was mostly listening to Tchaikovsky's classical music and similar music. This was the playlist
